Hello Froogs and other newbies - I think you're meant to read the first two posts carefully - the first post updates with a new list each day. Have fun and don't despair if you can't do it all. I've never done a complete list yet, certainly not a complete week! But the more I attempt it, the better the house looks and the easier it is the following week so I can keep doing a little bit more. If I do nothing else I do the dailies - which for me are WM, DW, swish n swipe the kitchen and bathroom, make the sarnies and a mini tidy up of kitchen/diner/living room. If I can get those done then I feel much more competent at tackling the list the next day. If I'm working I just write it all off though;)

I have a wizard wheeze for when I need to stir myself to get bits done: I take a picture of the thing that needs doing - sofa clearing, cooker top etc. and I take a photo of it - not its surrounding mess, just the area I want to tidy. I then make it lovely and then take the picture again showing the spankingly shiny, clutter free bit of my house. I don't know why but this amuses me highly and helps me concentrate on the bit I want to get done and not get sidetracked. If the whole room is a mess the one bit I do visually disappears into the chaos, and having a photo makes the change for the tidier much more satisfying. My DD thinks it's hilarious, and DH thinks I'm nuts, but it works for me!
If it works for you, it's agreat idea :D I took a picture of DDs bedroom last Saturday morning because it was SOoo awful no-one would have believed me!! It did look a lot better (for an hour or so that evening) but it is looking tip-like again now  I wanted before & after pics, but I don't know how to post them on here :o

Pigpen - I now have an image in my mind of us all queueing up (like the scene with the hysterical lady in Airplane!) to give you a virtual 'slap' and saying 'pull yourself together!' :rotfl:(Of course, you know we are all really queueing to give you virtual hugs really :p) I hope you are feeling better now, and that Squeak is more comfortable, poor little thing (not her week, is it?)

Uropachild - I hope you are feeling better now

I haven't heard from DH since lunchtime, when they were en route to Snowdon. I am hoping it is just a dead battery, and that he is ok :(

DW on, dinner cooked (yay me!), 1 load of washing done, dried & folded, and that is about it! Determined to get more done this weekend!

ETA - DH has just text to say that they have just got down Snowdon, and he is glad it is over :) I can go to sleep now :D

    Night night x

Pigpen, it may not work if it's thrush, but have you tried Metanium cream for sore bums? DD2 suffers with terrible nappy rash occasionally to the point where it bleeds. This stuff clears it up in no time. Ps hope you have now got some 'get a grip' and are feeling a bit better.x

    Have a good weekend everyone:)

no, i'm still blubbing off and on... I am such a mess lol.

We use metanium usually but this is blistery and weeping but i'll see how she is in the morning.

Off to take Sidders for his last walkies of the day *hopes it's stopped raining* then turning in, as I have an audiologist appointment at 09:00 and have to get Sid walked and fed first.:o

    Morning All

Piggers - I hope you went to sleep in the end.

Need to go into town today - to get Father's day stuff if nothing else. Other than that I have an ironing mountain and loads left to do on the lists. I've had a charity bag through though that takes books, toys, etc as well as clothes so I'm going to fill at least 1 bag for them.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

    morning all :hello:

Piggers I suspect its hormonal, you aren't normally the sort to fall apart, also probably tired, but I think the weather at the moment has something to do with it. I am ultra irritable, bad tempered and fed up, things that normally don't bother me at all are really getting on my nerves

    Its raining again

We are expecting the royal visit from DD and the new BF, it seems she has decided that she can bring him over to see us and risk his horrified reaction at how her parents live:eek: she may be surprised at the changes :rotfl:

    so must fly this morning
    dust LR
    Iron table cloth
    find some pretty flowers
    mop kitchen floor
    declutter stuff back to office.

Do I need to eat it :o
    Can I afford the calories:eek:
have I checked for a lower calorie version:T

Morning everyone! My mouth is feeling a little better this morning, but i have dosed myself up on paracetamol and diclofenac left over from my c-section. I can't have anything better than that with me still breastfeeding DS. Last night i even dreamed about being in pain!!

Would like to be able to do more of the lists this weekend, but i am doing some wedding photos today and have to do the weekly shop too, so not a chance! Oh well, i will just start again on Monday. :)

Welcome to the noobs! Even if you just attempt level 1 each day you will see a great improvement in things. It's a starting point to do as much or as little as you can. I don't think i have ever finished a whole list yet!

Have a lovely weekend everyone! xx
