I have a wizard wheeze for when I need to stir myself to get bits done: I take a picture of the thing that needs doing - sofa clearing, cooker top etc. and I take a photo of it - not its surrounding mess, just the area I want to tidy. I then make it lovely and then take the picture again showing the spankingly shiny, clutter free bit of my house. I don't know why but this amuses me highly and helps me concentrate on the bit I want to get done and not get sidetracked. If the whole room is a mess the one bit I do visually disappears into the chaos, and having a photo makes the change for the tidier much more satisfying. My DD thinks it's hilarious, and DH thinks I'm nuts, but it works for me!

    :T

Whatever works for you! I should probably take a photo of my bedroom, which is covered in clothes being sorted, bedding, bric a carp for CS shops etc.... then take an after photo..

Latest on Sidney - the dog-sitting service agent is going to collect him from me on Monday, and look after him herself for however long is needed. It seems his "Dad" won't be home by Monday, but she's fine with this, and has expressed gratitude to me for keeping the little guy on for an extra two days beyond the dates booked.:o

Flying-wise - next week I think I'll just be doing Level 1. I won't be around at all on Tuesday (we're out all day, which is why I couldn't keep Sid on any longer), and we set off for our holiday early on Friday, so the rest of the week will be frantic packing of cases, counting out of supplies of meds, checking and double-checking of paperwork, and all that jazz. *rolleyes* I sometimes wonder if holidays are worth the stress of organising!:rotfl:

Obviously, the following week I won't be around (not even sure if we'll have internet), and Monday 4th we're back at home, but Mr LW has another day's leave booked, so I'll probably be back flying "properly" on Tuesday July 5th.:)

Could you offer to have Sidney for a while once you get home if his dad is still out of action? It might help with that guilt.. even if you just offer and they say no

Yes, I shall do that - the agent has my holiday dates anyway, but I'll remind her that I'll be back and up for dog-sitting from July 5th. I just hope the poor man is fit to travel soon - hossy in a foreign country can't be a barrel of laughs!

I hope Squeak is having a better day, btw.:o

ETA typing on the netbook with Sid trying to crawl on me is..... interesting! Just accidentally reported a post as spam:eek: It's OK, I un-reported it straight away.:D

Ive been in my bedroom for an hour and its still not finished  I have filled another binbag for the CS and another with stuff to go though.

Ive also cleaned through some baskets of hoarded crapola and hoovered under the chest of drawers which is just too heavy to move when I do the floors - wow the dust under there was horrendous...

I did find some contact lenses though - not sure who they belong to!

    Back I go...
