The chemo & radiotherepy haven't worked on the throat tumour, and now it has spread to his liver. They are sending him home, because that is what he wants. We are talking months
My sister called aswell. She has started the 2nd part of her chemo, so had to have an injection today which may make her feel rough tomorrow (to do with white blood count) She still sounds very chipperBut it is hard to tell, as we haven't actually seen her (we live in Essex & she lives near Bradford)
Haven't done any flying this evening. We have even had a chippy tea!i am such a failure! DD did clean the bathroom eventually. Her friend has just turned up (it's bedtime!!) and they are off out. Oh, to be young!
DH called from the top of Ben Nevis earlier! Hopefully he is at (or near the bottom now)
I am going to bed, and hoping for a better day tomorrow.
another flylady here saying 'cut yourself some slack!'
You are under enormous pressure - and a chippy tea does not= failure - if it did we would all be failures! To me the chippy is an occasional treat/lifesaver on rare occasions! (Well not for me - slimming world and the chippy are not compatible if i want to lose weight - but my family still get their occasional treat!)
We lost my f-i-l to cancer last year - we are in York, he was near Romford. It was absolute hell - and other things had to take a back seat. You just have to do what you can cope with - and s*d the rest!
I'm rushing around today because youngest and i are off to London tomorrow to see Much Ado about Nothing - our second attempt to see the divine Mr Tennant on stage ( he'd done his back last time!)
Thankfully the dentist has glued my bridge back on and given me antibiotics for the infection ( it tasted like something had died in there!) and I feel 100% better!
Hope everyone is well - spoons to those who need them...

Morning all. I've been away for a while .. (in a virtual sense) .... now I'm back. Still flying - or at least flapping hard and wobbling along inches from the ground! Been keeping up a minimal amount of flying but after treatment am hopefully able to soar - off to the kitchen!0

Good morning
DD1 & friend woke me up when they got in at 3.30am. they weren't that noisy, but i think i heard the taxi pull up (window open all night). I love my sleep, so i don't usually hear the dawn chorus - noisy little b*g**rs!! I txt Dh to see how was getting on, but they are running about 3 hours over schedule 'cos someone slipped on the way down Ben Nevis & hurt their leg, so had to be taken to hospitalI think they set off up Scarfell Pike at about 6ish this morning. I am shattered now! (because of disturbed sleep, not just thinking about mountain climbing :rotfl:)
I have taken DS & friend to school, had breakfast & off to Toddler group in a mo with Little Miss SunshineThen I need to take DD2 to school for her last exam. Hopefully DD1 will take the dog out before the rain comes (if she gets up in time!)
Flying will have to wait 'til later. And something cooked for dinner - my diet is suffering this week
Hugs & spoons to those that need them :A0 -

Good Intentions I agree with the others, you are no failure. In fact, you fed your family, which considering everything going on was pretty amazing.
I was hoping for an early night but youngest was complaining of stomach pains. In fact he was crying and at times heaving. Never quite sure with him how much is genuine but he opted for his bedroom floor as it hurt in his bed apparently. I didn't get to bed till late in the end and then couldn't sleep. Woken early by the phone today (Withheld, no message...Grrr!) so not a good start.
OH has kept DS3 off school (he is easily persuaded) so no hope of much flying today. Got OH to phone Drs, and DS3 has an appointment late this afternoon.
Hope everyone has a good day, hugs and spoons to all.0 -
I've been working on the Pc since 8.45 and my eyes are going funny so i'm going to do a QHC at 10.20 if anyone wants to join me?0

3 work frogs eaten this morning. Great weight off my shoulders
Really annoyed with Dr Surgery though. Normal Dr is on leave until 29th. First appt I could get with the other (wicked witch) is next Thursday. This is despite me not being able to eat much more than eggs at the moment. Grrrr.
OK. Rant over. Must take beast for a walk - but its pouring with rain. Ick. Then work out what I'm feeeding DH tonight.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
