Ha ha! It's amazing what you can get done when you don't have the sproglets going round after you undoing all your good work! Although, i probably did go over half an hour, but not by much! The downstairs bathroom is tiny and doesn't have a bath, just a shower which is barely used, so i just gave it a quick wipe.

DD did walk all over the clean kitchen floor in her muddy shoes literally the second i'd put the mop away. :o

I must say that having followed my good old trainers advice today and BANJOed the bathrooms i feel great satisfaction! :D

I don't have any sproglets yet though...what's my excuse? :o

Oh no! That's always the way though, you mop the floors & someone just has to not wipe their feet properly, lol.

I need to BANJO tonight, not feeling motivated at all...just got back from a wedding exhibition & feel like relaxing as I've hardly sat down all evening!

No....:o Really will do it before Monday, if it's not done this week then I will be horribly disgusted with myself for putting it off for another week! Going to put my feet up for half an hour with a hot chocolate & see if I feel like tackling it then!

Uropachild One game that seems to be popular here at baby showers is a sock one.

Everyone brings a pair of baby socks. They are put in a bowl unpaired. Each guest has 1 minute to pair as many pairs as possible.

Another is to have a shallow tray of rice and place a couple of paperclips in it. Guests take turns to find them in an allotted time, blindfolded of course!
  • Vacuumed everywhere.

    WM
    TD
    DW

Cracked some brilliant bass show off runs.

    All good here today :)
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I have spoken to my mum tonight. It is not good news :( The chemo & radiotherepy haven't worked on the throat tumour, and now it has spread to his liver. They are sending him home, because that is what he wants. We are talking months :(

My sister called aswell. She has started the 2nd part of her chemo, so had to have an injection today which may make her feel rough tomorrow (to do with white blood count) She still sounds very chipper :) But it is hard to tell, as we haven't actually seen her (we live in Essex & she lives near Bradford)

Haven't done any flying this evening. We have even had a chippy tea! :( i am such a failure! DD did clean the bathroom eventually. Her friend has just turned up (it's bedtime!!) and they are off out. Oh, to be young!

DH called from the top of Ben Nevis earlier! Hopefully he is at (or near the bottom now)

I am going to bed, and hoping for a better day tomorrow.

    :j I cleaned the fridge! :j
A big thank you to xx_Jo_xx for that last little bit of motivation/obligation! :p

I haven't really done much else flying-wise today, but it has been productive wedding planning-wise at least so I'm not too fussed, last week's efforts mean the house isn't looking as bad as it has done before anyway so I'm sure if I put a bit of effort in over the weekend it'll look even better :)

Really sorry to hear about your sister & uncle, I never really know what to say about these things so I won't say much, just really sorry to hear it & I really hope the chemo works for your sister.

In the meantime don't you dare feel like a failure! The chippy is perfectly acceptable, & flying can wait another day x

Goodintentions sweetie, you're dealing with a lot of emotional stress. Cut yourself some slack - if it was another Flylady resorting to the chippy and not flying under these circumstances would you think her a failure? No! - So you aren't a failure, OK? I wish there was something I could say/do to make it better - but will continue with the posi-vibes and hope at least that your Uncle is pain-free, and that your Sister has as good a day tomorrow as possible. (((HUG)))
