Does anyone have any bright ideas for a way to package bundles of clothes sold on fleabay?

I toook 3 bags to PO yesterday (yey) and lady behind the counter said they don't like bin bags cos they get damaged. Goint point, I don't want big holes opening up and spilling the clothes out then getting bad feedback.

Not getting much done as full on week this week and going to Centerparcs tomorrow, but have got rid of bag of stuff to charity shop this morning. It feels good to be clearing stuff out. :)

With clothes i usually just put them in a carrier bag to keep them water proof just in case and then wrap in brown packaging paper. You can buy plastic mailing bags which are about £1.65 for 5 A3 size in wilkos and they're okay. I always save any packaging i receive things in and most mailing bags can just be turned inside out and used again. :)

    Update on HHC

    chairdrobe cleared
    washing folded
DDs clothes deposited in their room (to be chucked on the floor later. no doubt )
socks paired (22 socks removed from 'socks reunited' - some binned - still have 35 socks in there, and 2 gloves!)

i have showered and (re)dressed. I was about to come downstairs when DD phoned re DH's birthday list. I opened the cupboard to check which Family Guy DVDs he had and was confronted with an avalanche of DVDs! How many Dr Who Dvds does 1 person need!! I then found a couple of Ikea Kasset boxes, made them up & filled them both with DVDs - still have loads more Dr Who ones, let alone the others (films, TV series etc) I feel a trip to Ikea coming on :D

DH is en route to Ben Nevis as I type. He starts his climb at 5pm. the weather there is ok at the moment, I believe. I don't think we will be able to say the same by the time he gets to Snowdon tomorrow pm!!

No news yet from my mum (she was heading over to the hospital when she had found a sitter for my step-dad :o) thanks for the posi-vibes peeps

Now, I need to find my lists....

I've used binbags before but then loads of parcel tape around it so if it ripped then the chances of anything coming out is very unlikely.

Morning all! Is it bad that i'm eating cake for breakfast??? It's going to be one of those days!

I proper, proper, proper hate cleaning the bathrooms. Anyone want to come do it for me? Bring your ironing and i'll do that while you clean!

Mind you, a management training lady once did a course at work on time management and she said you must always BANJO - Bang A Nasty Job Off. Meaning just do the worst thing on your list first and get it out of the way. No excuses and no "running out of time" and having to do something else. Maybe i'll just go for it and do the bathrooms first thing this morning.

It's not that bad, as long as it's not everyday :D

Hmm, your last paragraph is a very wise one...from now on I must always BANJO :rotfl:

Oooh i did loads in my HHC! Mum & Dad came round, so i left them with the kids and cleaned the downtairs bathroom, swept the kitchen floor and mopped both bathroom floors and the kitchen floor. :D They don't come round to see me anyway, so i don't feel bad!

Blimey how did you do all that in half an hour?? It would probably take me almost that long to do just the bathroom...:o

hey ladies hope you are all well :)
im not feeling too great, today and tomorrow are really my weekend days since im working saturday and sunday, and im exhausted. not giving myself a list today, instead just going to potter about the kitchen doing extras that need done. sorting the cupboards and the likes. already got the basics done (dishes, swept floor, bins out, WM on etc..)
on the bright side we are getting 3 new residents into the care home i work at (2 permanent, 1 respite) so im feeling a bit more secure about my job :)
have a good day folks xx

Ha ha! It's amazing what you can get done when you don't have the sproglets going round after you undoing all your good work! Although, i probably did go over half an hour, but not by much! The downstairs bathroom is tiny and doesn't have a bath, just a shower which is barely used, so i just gave it a quick wipe.

DD did walk all over the clean kitchen floor in her muddy shoes literally the second i'd put the mop away. :o

I must say that having followed my good old trainers advice today and BANJOed the bathrooms i feel great satisfaction! :D
