Afraid I'm going to pass on Perth Beanie :rotfl: Banbury is south of Birmingham, a bit.

 Hi scaredy, nice to see so many old names cropping up.

ETA - I seem to remember some purple Radley bag discussion last year - am I getting warm?

Is that quite far south then?

It's far south enough that the Southerners still think it's in England... ;)

Banbury is in Oxfordshire, north east of Oxford. If you draw a line from Birmingham to London, lets call it the M40, Banbury is very close to it.

    Quite a nice toon.

Beanie, you are up near where my name comes from (surname). Looking on the 1900 census there was a big concentration round Perth, but then it is a Nordic name!

It's because you're descended from the Viking Raiders.

aww Z, you're as lovely as ever I see :)

All of the kids are good, Amber is a handful, more so than ever. We have a cocktail of hormones and autism which is a challenge to say the least.

Jas is whole story, but basically I've been told I have to home educate her because our wonderful condems have cut so much from the education system they no longer have the resources to fund her 1-1 in the lessons she struggles in. So, I was asked to remove her from school in feb because her behavour was bad in the classes they threw her back into. Cue, battle with the education dept who really couldn't care less. She's ok though :)

    I miss you lot x

:eek::eek: How can they tell you you have to home educate? Words fail me.

Toto, I'm so sorry to read about Jas ending up in hospital, I agree with Z, education isn't everything, health is way, way more important. (I hadn't read your post when I wrote mine above). Believe me, I've ended up very ill due to education and it's better to lose a couple of years to get sorted out than it is to push ahead and end up even more ill, and lose far longer. Not sure if that makes sense, and I hope I'm not preaching, it just makes me so mad that schools can get away with making kids ill, just for targets and tables.

BB, so glad to hear you're so happy, you really deserve it.

I'm contemplating giving up on the OU. It really drives me mad, and I'm just not reaching my potential. I'm going to try and get into Leeds uni for a part time degree in politics or social policy (or joint honours if I can), if there's a space for me to start this year it'll cost me about 1300 a year, which isn't impossible for me to find (especially if I'm allowed to use my inheritance for it). Otherwise I'll try clearing for the full time courses, since this year is the last chance for the old fees, not the 9k ones. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that!
