  • Toto, glad to see your little family are still all well. How is your eldest daughter now, back in Weymouth she was deciding on her future. As for you, do what makes you feel happy, be that midwifery or music. After all you will be doing whatever it is for a few years yet.

BB, wow :T Never knew as I haven't been on facebook for ages however I am so happy for you, and Pepe. Seems like you have opened the new chapter, shame it took so long to get there. Enjoy your new life in the country :grinheart

Pooky, glad to see your family are all ok, I guess the girls are growing up. Really good that you can finally get somewhere more suitable for your OH.

LMC, wow a spoken for lady :D I see you post on the cross stitching thread so I know you were still around. My road trip will prob be Wales, if not down south somewhere, anywhere really :rotfl:

Jas also has fragile x so as typical for FX girls she really struggles with maths and science.

Might be worth doing a Pareto thing here - 20% of the work to cull 80% of the marks.

Also try with exam technique rather than actually knowing the whole syllabus. Just floating through the questions and just doing the odd bit here and there to harvest stray marks does work. It completely games the system, but I never cared, and neither should she.

I have passed exams before - with quite reasonable marks - in subjects I knew almost nothing about...

It really isn't, she tried to kill herself and ended up in hospital for a while back in January.

Whoah! I hope she's OK now with no lasting effects.

She's a lot happier now she isn't in school. Not doing much for her education though.

Education isn't everything. This is from someone who has shedloads of the stuff.

Best thing is social skills. I'd have done much better if I'd had the gift of the gab. You can make quite a living from being a facilitator - being able to bring together people who know what they're doing.

    So Z, what's your news?

Not much really. I have a new job - the only difference being a title change. Hacked off with it. Not really a change there.

PAP, I'm loving your work on there. I bet you can't wait for your road trip and are you taking any family members with you?

BB, surely it depends if they've got feathers on to give it that quilted feel!!!

' The last conversation we had was him saying he 'couldn't believe there wasn't another reason I didn't want to be with him other than I just 'didn't....

I can't believe it either BB. I mean he was such a catch and so lovely with it. (Does he realise how close he came to the end of a spade and a very deep flower bed, AND how many people were up for doing the deadly deed!)
she ended up getting made redundant about 2 months ago :rotfl: It was all very under the table and apparently she made someone elses life hell as well sadly. I heard that just 6 people went to her leaving lunch (and she was a director so that would have been very embarrassing), but am a bit  that apparently she will be going back in a consultative capacity.
Yes but sometimes people do have knowledge and skills which are useful to the organisation regardless of how horrible and useless they are as managers. If you need to think about her at all (maybe a visit to Paul McKenna is in order!) think of her leaving do. I had about 20 people at mine including my two faced line manager and another manager who couldn't stand me!!!!

p.s. Now we're back up and running I can see I am going to get FA work done. So will leave you now for some gardening and a job application.

    Hi Katsu

Redundancy just around the corner and can feel the barometer going up, any tips on best web sites searching for another job???
Depends what you do I think. Usual ones are things like Monster, TotalJobs, Reed was good. I've never used fish4 if that still exists? Direct gov/Job Centre website has job posted on it. LinkedIn can be good for professional roles - I think it depends the sort of thing you are looking for and how geographically flexible you are.
