Remember the daily chats and monthly chat threads?
If you've been missing updating the people who shared the journey with you on the chat threads, why not post an update or join a bit of a chat - it is wet outside daarn saarf, so no-where better to be than at a PC moneysaving
My update: I started a new permanent job about 3 weeks ago after getting made redundant and it is all going well... people seem nice to even tho the money is a bit less I'm counting my blessings.
I'm also now feeling that as I'm getting the hang of the place it is time to try and work out how to get my Masters dissertation done.
So... what else are old (and new) DFWs up to?

Hello, I'm soooo glad you've done this!
Great news on the job Katsu!
Buffy, brilliant news on the debt freeness!!
I don't think I've really got much to update, everything's just up in the air after mum's death in April. I really need a kick up the arris to get the probate forms done. I have to say, since being told I can't buy a house with my inheritance and I just have to live off it until I qualify for income support again I'm finding it hard to motivate myself to get it sorted. Which is selfish, I know.
I have lost a lot of weight though - I've just been to Tesco and they've got half price on all women's clothing today and tomorrow so I got a couple of bits. I can't really carry on walking round with my trousers falling down anymore!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Oops you weren't there when I posted Beanie.
You don't need a satchel! (or do you?)Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
*does a victory dance for buffy*
that is just such good news, bet you can't wait to update your sig and post on the DF roll of honour - DH and I were so keen to do that when we got DF. That thread is nearly as fab as the "how much have we paid off in 20XX" one.
rdchick - aren't you worried the kitten will fall into the dinner?Definitely a bit too much extreme moneysaving to eat the cat, even if he does taste like chicken
I'm lacking motivation to make dinner - have run out of leftover choc tho so will need dinner before we starve
I really am starting to feel like I can speak to them soon about doing my project at work and getting my masters done - I've paid for it and done the lectures so I just need to get into the project and get it done. I imagined I would be all done by now but I hadn't planned on the redundancy coming along.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Beanie - all I can think of is the poem about "when I am an old woman I will wear purple". I am at a loss as to where the bag comes in, so I can't see that you need one.
Anyone heard from Claire? I've not heard of her in months and wondered how she was getting on.
Ames - is there no way you can buy a house? No disability organisations can help you find a way to do it? Have you got the money locked up so you can't spend it too easily?
Def a good idea to buy clothes before the old ones fall down - be embarassing to get arrested for flashing in public! :eek:Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
