All the Sharp tv's have strangely vanished from the site now. CLICK Time 4:28pm

EDIT: Scrub that, they're back again. It did say 0 results a few moments ago. I just clicked refresh and there they are, still showing at £150!!!! Time 4:32pm

EDIT 2: They must have realised and now all Sharp tellies have gone again lol. What a fiasco. Time 4.34pm

There is more to it than just the Sale of Goods Act. Other laws that apply include the Distatance Selling Regulations, UCTA, common law contract and the law of mistake.

In this one, and with most other internet pricing mistakes, the law of mistake and basic contract law are crucial.

    Duly noted

Yeah it's been doing that for a while now. The prices never change though when they reappear. It's been happening with the £150 Beko TVs too.
  • is anyone going to try chasing woolies on this when they are back in stock and reappear at an inflated price?
  • The vast majority of people who purchased one of the TV’s for £150 probably knew that it was a mis-priced item. If Woolworths had honoured the purchase despite their mistake you would of got an amazing deal. However they didn’t (and Watchdog won’t care) so please just let it lie then have a good Christmas!!

I should imagine they are in stock now just they aren't on the web site. When they are back up I'm sure they will be more than happy to sell anyone one at the correct price.

As through this life you travel,
    you meet some funny men
Some rob you with a six-gun,
and some with a fountain pen
  • I think we should all order one of their £5000 TV's http://www.woolworths.co.uk/ww_p2/product/index.jhtml?pid=50761125

    and then return them :-)

See how they like having a good deal taken away from them and perhaps a huge stock of unwanted premium price TV's

who has £5000 to put into woolies bank accounts and let them earn interest until they refund?
  • The misprice's even reached BBC News!

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.
  • I would suggest click on your orders in your account section and click "Contact us about this order" and tell them what they think about the fiasco.

It's understandable if one TV was mispriced, but a dozen, different brands, sizes, shapes? Even if some low level gopher entered this on the system, isnt woolies professional enough to have a senior person (or anyone) to verify each entry?
