looks like they have realised the "mistake" and now the 32" is £699.99 unless i am looking for the wrong thing...
    i could have done with a 32" LCD ...

  • "Woolworths has already contacted customers that placed orders to inform them of the error and to apologise for the inconvenience." BBC NEWS

Where's my apology? No email or call here.

"He countered accusations of non-festive behaviour by the retailer, saying that the company was doing all it could to rectify an error that was unfortunate and unforeseen."

No offers of alternatives - or anything for that matter for me...

PS. Glad to see BBC used the word "scrooge" in their article, as i suggested the press should earlier today.

I bet the people boasting about how they bought 5 are a bit worried in case £750 disappears from the bank account.
Not to worry, it will be refunded in the New Year.

P.S. Have we heard back from the guy who sent his girlfriend to the store?

It seems that a mixture of computer error and human inputting may have led to a zero being left off the end of the TVs retail price.

I don't get that .... are they trying to say the 26" TV RRP was originally £1500:eek:

"Woolworths has already contacted customers that placed orders to inform them of the error and to apologise for the inconvenience."

er ... no you haven't  I have just emailed them asking them to explain why my order status is showing as cancelled :)
I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....

How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!

I thunk I've made you think for a minute!

  • The girlfriend works in town so I got her to pop in to Woolies and ask if they have any instock. They did so while she was in the store I ordered online and chose instore delivery. Got an e-mail confirmation within a few minutes. She took the number to customer services and now has the telly paid for and in their stockroom waiting for me to collect it this afternoon.

All you need is a bit of smart thinking guys and you can find yourself a loophole.
So did the guy who did some 'smart thinking' manage to get his £150 TV?!
Has he posted since, or is he struggling getting his TV home??!
