Evening folks, ASDA tomorrow, assesment tomorrow!!!!
Nearly packed all the ebay stuff that I sold before Xmas, paid off £50 off the HSBC account, just awaiting the clearance of the paypal money.
Nothing much new really, got a lot more stuff to ebay tomorrow, and then start looking through my cupboard for other stuff to sell that I haven't thought of etc.
My plans are complete for my bank account move, first stage is to claim back bank charges, once I get on at ASDA I can budget properly because I will know what I have to play with on a monthly basis, before that I'm keeping a spending diary so that I can track where my money goes before I attempt to budget for anything.
My A+L account will become my salary / dd / standing order account, hopefully I'll get my citibank account and then the amount that I have left over will be for my spends / overpayment on debts.
Hopefully I can sort out my financial situation out from there, wonder if anyone has a similar practice to this? Would it make sense to get the salary paid into the citibank account then have al the DD's on the A+L account and simply have a standing order that is transferred across to the A+L so that the DD's are covered.
I will continue with the ebay / quidco stuff though for sure, certainly need to start on matched betting too, but first I need to get a job!!!0 -
nope nope nope.
The absolute best way for you to do it, in my hunble opinion, is get your salary paid in your A&L acc, have direct debits, standing orders debt repayments set up per month to (where you can) more than the minimum and then transfer into your Citi acc (when up and running) a set amount say £100 (or whatever is reasonable) and that is your spending money.
If you give yourself whatever is left over, you'll spend whatever is left over. Dont keep the A&L card with you, if your parents for example know the situation ask them to keep hold of the card, and only ask for it when u need to make overpayments, use the card for that and that alone and then give it back.
Its difficult I know but we do have to be cruel to be kind to ourselves, especially at our age I think. We learn from the hardest lessons in life, and knowing you the way I do, I honestly think thats the best way for you to utitlise to get yourself out of debt.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Evening, ASDA was tonight, the group selection process, went well I felt, should find out If I have an interview and then if so where and when, then if I pass that I'll hopefully have a job!
Money is beginning to dry up a bit, I've applied for jsa just to keep me going until money rolls in from job, I have to be aware that I have to work a month in hand before I get paid too so it could well be a bit of a disaster.
I have some work at a friends shop next week, 3 hours - £15, 3 days, £45 more than what I had so I'm pleased, going to have put some more things on ebay and use that money to go into my current account. Had some unexpected outgoings today (ink cartridge for printer) as I was printing off my letters for bank charges.
Car tax due next month too! Oh well, will just have to keep on pushing until I get myself sorted! At least the debts are planned to be paid off, I just am in survival mode at the minute!0 -
Survival is good.
At least you've taken steps to cover yourself. i.e working in your friends shop and JSA for the time being. You should be proud that you've taken the bull by the horns as it were
Best of Luck with the job xxWealth is not measured by currency0 -

Interview at 10;30 tonight for overnight job, gotta do a work trial thing too, I think its to do with the fact that to see if i can do the job, putting out etc. Shouldn't be a problem really.
Just in time, cash is starting to dry up a bit at the minute.....0 -
Good luck, everything crossed for you!!!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Lovely! Only 3 nights contracted, Sunday night / Wednesday night and Friday night, which Im pleased about, its important to make sure that I build myself back up slowly, he said I can stay the extra hour (10-7) instead of just working till 6. The rate is something like £7.10 an hour!!!
Its really good, im well excited, parents are happy too, mentioned my interest in career progression and things, he said there were loads of opportunities, and told me to shine, and the rewards are there!
Excellent, im pleased about the gap in days though, allows me to calm back down, ive had a rough time recently, and I still find myself panicked occasionally but I can keep calm, its good that I've got that gap between shifts too!0 -
