Sorted, parents getting a loan for me (£5k) and I am going to pay off the car, then sell the car to a dealer or somethig, thus using that money to pay off HFC (29.9% - £515) and Mint Cards (£900 16.9%) and possibly my catalogue debts too. Any spare, I will put £500 away for a used car when I am sorted a bit more, and there is some small outgoings with car insurance on my dads car (old corsa so not too much).
Saving £360 a month (taking away minimum payments / petrol / car insurance etc etc)
Feel better now, obviously not 100% right but on my way, looking at taking a job that involves day working at Natwest, was offered it in the new year but couldnt take it because of my problem with having the car but not being able to use it (public transport only).
Have had a few issues recently, all came to a head today, that is the plan that's above, special thanks to CAFC girl who suggested that I write to my creditors to ask for a full and final settlement figure as I may be able to get away with paying less if I settle within 2 weeks. Any other suggestions?
Plus with regards to selling the car (once i own it) anyone know anywhere good to sell it?0 -
I think you need to be careful about taking too much work on, as at the moment you are trying to recover and get in the groove with ASDA. Don't you think the NatWest idea is simply going to put more pressure on you? You have identified that your future is in retail, PLEASE dont do anything that may set you back or jeopardise your bright future. Best wishes.Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.

Hi guys, just had an offer from First Direct for £330.00 for my bank charge reclaimation!
That's a major result, only after the first letter had been sent, that will go towards my overdraft with them, once I have the loan in place, I will not do overdrafts again, I will not do credit again (unless it's beneficial) and I will save money to ISA / Share Accounts to ensure that if anything occurs with health again, I have some money to fall back on.0 -
Great news, well done!!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Im coping a lot better, after taking the issues apart bit by bit I was always going to come across what the problem was, I guess it was just a combination of factors' inc ex g/f, money (main), job, then it became big circle and I couldn't cope!!
However, hopefully Im over that now, my job at asda is good, but the night shift work is taking over my life, a lass who im getting on well with I cant see as much as id like because of nights and its draining me physically. Never know when to eat, so what im doing is looking for a day job that will allow me to earn and public transport accesible so that I can get rid of my car without any problem!
My folks god bless them are brilliant, dont know what I would have done without them!0 -
Am glad that things seem to be going well for you. Could you ask ASDA if you could switch to days as you seem very happy in retail and ASDA could offer you the oportunities to progress up the ladder and into management perhaps. Just don't do anything hasty as you clearly identified that you do tend to "rush things" just take the time to work out what you really WANT (from a job in this instance) and then follow the path you wish to pursue. As for this new girl well, you WILL find the time just tke it easy and be kind to yourself. Remember you have come a long way in a very short time, don't do anything to put your progress at risk. As ever, I wish you well.Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
