JackieO that is brilliant news on little Tilly-Grace - best Christmas present ever - makes you think doesnt it.

    Welcome to Bexstars.

(((Hugs))) to anyone who needs them

Cleaned house yesterday but you wouldnt realise it by looking today! Have a massive pile of ironing (not happy as was meant to keep up with it this week) and another massive pile of paperwork - this is normal but with Xmas looming it justs seems double the size. So plan of action today is - horseriding at 10am, sister will pop round for a cuppa after but wont let her linger as soo much today - not being rude as I know she has a lot also. Will then come in my office for a couple of hours and try and catch up. I must do my VAT but this does really only take 5 mins. I also need to pay some people their wages early due to the holidays that is obviously priority. Need to look at my personal accounts as budgets have completely gone out of the window - have only just remebered need to tip the milkman etc. Also DS was given an unexpected present yesterday and need to get his teachers bits so will write a list later.

Must get chicken out of freezer for tea tonight and sort out my tesco shop that is due on the 22nd Decemeber. Must admit I feel a bit overwhelmed by it all at the moment but hope when I start that is starts feeling a little more manageable. Will have a big master to do list later thats for sure.

Have our Xmas do tomm evening and just found out that need to be at football with DS 9.30 sunday morning! Am looking forward to after XMas when have a couple of weekends with no rushing around.

Supppose I must go, first job is go and get my jodphurs on - isnt the best look for me I must admit!:rotfl:

    Have a great day.

Edited to say - Aussielass will come back later to have a look at your photo's - the flooring looks fantastic.

katmal I do this every yr, but this yr Ive not seen any decent wreaths to buy. Im the only 1 in the family who bothers, I go up in all weathers, birthday, anniversary's, grandparents day, Xmas, etc, I visit 10 times a yr.

Infact, my mum has started making more of an effort (think she feels guilty)

This yr our local Hospice will be switching their Xmas lights on, on sunday, Ive donated some money to their charity for "light of love", and a light is dedicated to a loved one you've chosen. Ive received a little (credit card type thing) which has beautiful words on, on behalf of my grandparents.

    Must go now

  • Morning :hello:

Bit hung over this morning from chrimbo do last night :o (and had my night's sleep interrupted when I got a "wrong number" call on my mobile at 4:30am  ) It wasn't our own office do, I was a guest at a party held by one of our partner companies. It didn't cost me a penny as they had a free bar all evening, and I resisted the temptation to take a cab home as it was only two short bus journeys away and the buses turned up before any cabs did! :D Our own office do is this evening, though I'm not going as (it's always rubbish and) I have a ticket to a concert at the Barbican - Bach's Christmas Oratorio - which I booked way back in February.

PP, I'm sure DD will be fine :)

moggins - good to see you back, I hope you sorted out DH!

Must make a "to do" list for the weekend because if I don't get Christmas sorted within the next couple of days, I never will! Somehow I have found myself going out eight nights out of the next ten  (here goes: tonight going to a concert, tomorrow going to a concert (freebie ticket from friend :D), Sunday singing in our carol service, Monday going to a concert, Tuesday going to see Carmen, Wednesday having dinner with my dad, Thursday going out for my department's Christmas meal, nothing on Fri or Sat, then singing Midnight Mass on Sunday...). Also there are some "absolute essentials" I still need for the flat. Curtains and an ironing board are the things that come immediately to mind.

Now, must go. I have a deadline which I would normally be meeting on Monday, but have been landed with organising a community project for some of our managers (redecorating a local community centre) so will be out of the office all day then, and have to finish my report today

    See you later
    Love Rzl xx

    Hi everyone

Haven't posted on this thread for a while as it's been a bit chaotic.

Late last week I got promoted and had to have serious discussions with my boss about my pay. Tight !!!!!! expected me to have a load of extra responsibility for about 25p an hour extra  Anyway, got it all sorted and got my payrise.

Then on Wednesday we found out that my OH's mum has cancer of the bladder. He is devastated. He lost his dad 2 years ago to cancer and is now convinced that he's going to lose her as well :( I had a long chat with her last night and she seems ok, quite positive about it all really. I think she's glad they've found it early. We'll just have to see what happens.

Then to make myself better I went out shopping yesterday and regretted it as soon as I got to the shopping centre. I don't do crowds and it was BUSY  I'm still quite traumatised actually :rotfl:

I hope all of you are having a good run up to xmas. We are really looking forward to having some time off together and spending it with my family (they live in Manchester so we don't see them that often). It's also OH's birthday on 23rd so we have a big night out planned for then. Can't wait :)

    Mel

    :santa2: Morning!

Late up today and have sooo much to get done but have to pace. First the Christmas cards to post and then the decoration for day15 is some lights in the window (which should please the kids that live opposite:D )

Last night I visited friend in hospital and the good news is she is not in so much pain now as they have sorted her meds out. Just waiting to hear if she can come home for Christmas so please keep your fingers crossed for her. She has been so very ill and for a long time now and she just wants to spend Christmas with her family around her.

I have a physio appointment at the cfs clinic at lunchtime and then we are going to Costco! :j for our Christmas ham and anything else that looks good, so will probably be broke by tonight!:D

Michelle - love the new picture of Charley

    Aussie lass - lovely floor!:D
    Jackie-O - wonderful news about Tilly-Grace :T

Off for more :coffee: and something to eat.

    Take care everyone

((((Hugs)))) to Melt and OH, so sorry to hear about your OH's Mum but she sounds very positive and that's half the battle won.

Aussie Lass - I can see them! Don't know why others can't  Does that make me special?:D :rotfl:
