Aussie lass I can see the flooring piccys ok........
Dry morning have a load of washing to go on the line, yesterdays dried fine, just finished them off on the rads.........
Today is a baking morning, coffee gateaux and shortbread, might make a ring of scone as well.....OH is going to tidy the garden and wash the car, its a trifle muddy after our trip last week.
Did my Jan menu plan last night, I am trying to cut down on what I spend a bit, we have booked a caravan holiday in France for May..... got the crossing free......so need to try and get some spends together, have the cash in the savings account to pay for the trip 10 days for just over £200 not bad. I will be taking quite a bit of food with us frozen, so any cash we have can be spent on goodies to bring home.
Right time for a :coffee: I think, then I must get on.........
Have a good day folks

Hi Everyone,
Aussielass - Like the wooden effect flooring. Every time I try and post a pic it all seems to go wrong for me!
Hello to all and hugs to those who need them. I have had fun and games with DS today, as he would not go into nursery until I put his old shoes on him.:D . I then went into town to charity shop to get some stocking fillers for DS, and OH. Managed to get a small new "Squirrel Nutkin" book, a small Mr Men toy, and 2 other books on animals and sounds, for £1.40. When I got home I had a free mini bottle of Gordons Gin in the post (going in OH stocking), and a free book called "We're going on a bear hunt" with story cd attached (another Xmas gift for DS).
Was really pleased with myself, as I have been moaning about none of my friends ever getting in contact. I gave myself a telling off, and made the effort to get in touch with them instead. I spent the best part of an hour, talking to one of my old school friends, and have arranged to meet up between Xmas and New Year. Please excuse me wittering on, but its nice to get my feelings vented sometimes.
I'm planning on doing a mini hamper for my friends parents, and make some earrings for the other. I suppose now, I had better get back to cleaning up the house, (but it is much more fun being on here:D ).
Have a good day everyone.

Hi all. Had a busy morning.
OH vacuumed the house, while I made stuffing burgers and a big lasagne. Cleaned kitchen and tidied lounge.
Just having a quick break then off to see if burgers/lasagne is cooled to put in fridge.
Next will be to bake some shortbread for afternoon tea...as... they arrive today! :j
Big sister, BIL and niece. I can't wait! :j :j :j
Hope you all have a wonderful day (I know I will!)

HI everyone,
Fruglfairy and Elona, I too have a Uni student coming home today.:j Can't wait to see DS again, he's in North Wales so we don't see a lot of him once he's there.
Aussie - I could see both pictures straight away.:D We're planning a big extension next year - new kitchen (and old into Breakfast room) extended living roon, new utility and downstairs WC and new bedroom with old one being turned into on-suite and dressing room. I've been putting clippings of carpets, furniture etc I like in a scrapbook, mind you I've got expensive tastes, I think I'll need to scale my ideas down:rolleyes: .
We will finish the present wrapping tonight if OH remembers to bring the paper home. Then I want to make Nigellas peanut butter cups for DS, they looked yummy.0 -
Afternoon All!
Havent posted recently as I havent had much to say, things are nice and quiet and relaxing here in the JW household. Must nip out shortly for a hairdye as ive got some massive roots going on that need to be fixed. Aside from that, all xmas cards/prezzies/decorations ready and sorted, turkey is in the freezer and i have £5 of sainsburys points ready to get my veggies & potatoes, and a £3 voucher I can use in Iceland for some kind of dessert (all for me!).
Im feeling quite creative at the moment so I might nip into the library this afternoon and see if they have any good books, I fancy reading some crafty type instruction books and see if I can find a new project. Im thinking of doing a quilt for a freind of mine who is due a baby in feb, i thought it might be something fun to do.
Anyway, off to check my emails and ring the bank as ive mislaid my card and cant remember where I put it!
Have a good one all!

Hello.
i'm having a strange day. I have had a full months pay instead of my maternity pay. The pay dept only rang me yesterday to say they had overpaid by £86, and would take it back next month, but they have paid me 4x more than expected, so i guess i won't get paid now again until next september. I'm not sure if this is good or bad, as we are expecting a tax bill in January, and then just the usual spends after that.
Might have to move some money into savings for now though, as i looked in the current account this morning and saw DH has taken £130 out of the ATM since the 1st. I know he's working long hours, but god knows what he has wasted all of that on (well - i guess food as he hasn't been taking a pack up through lack of time). Will have to have words tonight i think and then start January with a really strict budget to make up for it. No use me scrimping if he is going to fritter it.
Aussielass - if it helps, i can see 2 posts with piccies, but then a 3rd that has a lot of boxes with red x's in them. Flooring is good, and obviously you are nearly there now. It does look worth the effort.
Going to grab some lunch as baby is sleeping. God knows what though as we are very lacking in food at the moment. Perhaps a slab of fruit cake.No bread, very few veggies. We will hopefully be stocking the cupboards and freezer tomorrow.
Hope none of you get too drenched with the poor weather.

Hi everyone!
All my plans for last night went completely to pot. Lay down for a quick "power" nap at 8.15 and came to at 10.30...perhaps all this going out has taken its toll:rotfl: :rotfl: Anyhow did manage to get the weekly shopping list done before then.
OS today has been changing beds and towels, sorting clean washing and hanging out a dark load aswell as cleaning the loo and sink. Have got the splendiferous trip to Mr T awaiting me this evening. Super!! Ah well at least I'll be able to use the £4 off voucher [unlike last week when I forgot to take it with me:eek: ]
Tomorrow the small person is off to his grandparents for a jolly which will give me the ideal opportunity to wrap the stocking pressies. I've had to really tuck everything away this year..they're dead snouty at 8 aren't they!!!
Tough evening tomorrow at the company christmas dinner...I'm having white choc bread and butter pud which should be deleesh!!
Nowt much else..think most of the weekend is to be spent dropping off and collecting the small person from his various social arrangements he has lined up. Splendid!
Have a great weekend
