  • Good morning folks. :) Woohoo - it's Friday!!!!!!! :D

I finally started to be a little bit more OS last night as we didn't go shopping after all but hubby managed to rustle up a chinese from a leek, noodles and carrots. :)

Blairweech That llama did make me giggle!!!

PennyWatcher Hugs to your FIL, not nice, especially this time of year.

I still haven't written the Xmas cards so they're sitting on my desk to do shortly. Just a little bit of work to do first. I've also brought my grandad's pressie in to make if we don't get any more work in. A garden tool pouch/belt thing - just got to figure out how to make it first.

Confession of the day: I just ate 3 advent choccies in one go. :o (they were from the last 3 days though.)

  • Good morning all

Weekend is not far away now. My partner and I are looking forward to it. Neither of us is in great health and we like to relax a lot at the weekends. It is usually a mixture of whatever jobs need doing and then watching DVDs.

Of course I will also be surfing the Net. I didn’t get online yesterday as my mother came up for the day and we had a good chat. I will spend some time this afternoon on the Net. (I only work part-time, about 4 hours or so a day)

Glad to hear your daughter is having a good time, Penny-Pincher!! Enjoy your day out.

Sorry to hear about the cold in the school, topher. There is a minimum temperature - not sure what it is but I would imagine the school should be closed if there is no heating.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

Really. They are showing on mine. Will have to look at it after I get tea organised. Your not pulling my leg are you? :D

Its because you are hotlinking them direct from the site, your computer is recognising the file so is still showing for you.

Hotlinking an image can cost the company money because it is using extra bandwidth, to combat this, some site install a mod that if someone hotlinks, all people see is a red x, if you cleared your cookies, you wouldnt be able to see it.

You need to use an image hoster like tinypic, or photobucket, upload it to there and then copy and paste the IMG into your post.

This forum service announcemnt was brought to you today by wanty, former cool person now common techie geek :o

EDIT: Seems like you are using photobucket, site must have been down for a short while.

Off out just after 9 with my mum and sister to put a Christmas wreath at my grandparents grave. This is our Christmas "tradition".
Hi Skystar, I always go and put a Christmas wreath on my Mum and Dad's grave at Christmas too.

Love to all good luck with your Christmas preparations. I'm a bit organised at Christmas, it starts in January with the card and paper buying and ends in military precision on Christmas Eve. My DH calls me Mrs. Lists! :xmassmile

OK, 2nd attempt, please bear with me. :D Tea all eaten & dishes done.

Thriftlady In google earth the photo isn't current and you can only see the shed on the block of land. The house doesn't show yet. Not too sure when they update their pics.

If you or anybody is interested in seeing where I live go to
skyepics.com.au click on Photo Library - then Queensland - then Brisbane - then Lamb Island. They are aerial photo's and much better IMO.

Oh I found the xmas tree & decorations today out of it so I"ll be doing that this weekend. :xmassmile

Ok, now I can't see them. Off to see what I"m doing wrong.

Morning All - Im a little late posting this morning.

Still getting over the concert last night in Manchester, Snow Patrol was fantastic! Had to stand all the way thru, and cos we got there early, we was so close to the front.

Got home just after mid-night, took the babysitter home, whilst OH did pack up for DS (DD Xmas dinner today), and sorted the DW out. Then had a cuppa and watched Anthea Turner on BBC 3. First time Ive ever seen her in action, I know you guys watch her regularly, but I always forget when she's on!

Pooky thanks for the info ref "the holiday", it does look my sort of film, and even the OH said he'd like to see it, so perhaps we might go on Saturday.

Off out for an Indian meal tonight with work. Bit like the work's do, but also a meal to celebrate the other girls's birthday from the other day.

Thats 2 nights on the the trot we'd have gone out (3 - if we go the pics on sat) (providing OH doesnt bail at the last minute like he did last week)

Day off work today, I put a days holiday in to support DS in his YR6 enterprise coffee morning at school. I only nipped home to write my post and for a quick fag, then back to school in the next 5mins. (OH is using my car for today) I got wet going to school - not nice this "fine rain" is it?

Got up to find my "2 out of 3" masaai figurine's was on the floor, cats must have knocked them off, sadly 1 broke. They are clean break's so should glue back together ok.

Anyway - going to check the RM website now to see if the recorded item I sent in the week as been signed for, its a return item from ebay.

    Have a lovely day all
Take care & Love as usual. xxx
