    Morning all,

Am up with the larks this morning (bad night with OH). Plan to go to Hawkins first thing and finish off my Xmas shopping - 9.00 is the only time you can get through the door !!

Also thought I would check in to Pertemps and get registered with them - they can do all the hard slog of finding me a job! possibly look at some other agencies as well.

When I get back, have to clean the bathroom and have a hoover ready for tonight. Something in the kitchen stinks and is making me feel vey sick, so will enjoy looking for that later  I suppose if I get time, I'll do the ironing

Have discovered that OH is amazing at wrapping presents! All his are beautiful, mine look really shabby compared to them :( So I might have to unwrap them all and do them again :) I should have known he was good at wrapping from the cuddly llama I got for my birthday :D

    Breakfast: Toast
    Lunch: Leftover Chinese
Dinner: The lasagne I didn't make yesterday

    Have a good day!

  • Good morning all. Had lovely bday yesterday - did nothing so loads to do today:
    Make baby bottles
    Clean up kitchen
    Clean up lounge
    make beds
    laundry
into town for bank, wilkos and library
    baking biscuits & mince pies
write christmas cards (don't think my NZ ones will get there on time, but it will be a nice suprise for them after christmas!!!).
    Ironing
    Dust downstairs
    Hoover

Think thats about it for now, though I always find extra to do as I go round the house.

Hope everyone has a good day and !!!!{Hugs}}} to all who need it

    I can't see them either......

    Morning all

Well good news and not so good news yesterday. Firstly went to see my fertility doc and came away with a nice prescription for Clomid ( ) My body isn't doing as it should so lets hope this gets it sorted.....

But the most fantastic news of all......

DH got a promotion, a big promotion, with a 24% pay increase  :j He also got a christmas bonus of £1k that hit the bank this morning. I'm so pleased for him, he's worked so hard, nice to see him rewarded. :T

OS wise - not a lot today - we're having a take away tonight to celebrate and I'm off out with a friend this morning (promise not to spend too much!!)

Went to see "The Holiday" last night at the cinema - was lovely - very romantic and soppy - just right for Christmas - think they whole cinema was drooling over Jude Law though.......what's the chances of getting him in my christmas stocking????;)

    Have a good one all.

Edited to say..................lol at that wrapped llama - I love it!!

    Morning all :hello:

I survived yesterday at work! It wasn't too bad and the children were quite nice and a bit more mature than my last "proper" class. I hope that I get asked to go back there in the new year.

I've got two ebay parcels to post today. The rest of my auctions are finishing on Sunday, so Monday will be a manic panic of getting them together. I imagine!

I need to go into the big smoke today - Peterborough ;). I've avoided going in, but it's too close to Christmas now, so a quick breakfast and then I'm off!

    See you all later

    Morning folks

After being awake yesterday from 3:30 I had a bit of a lie in this morning. Didn't wake until 7:45 :T

Off out just after 9 with my mum and sister to put a Christmas wreath at my grandparents grave. This is our Christmas "tradition". My gran did it every year after my grandad passed away (he died in 1978 and she in 1998 so 20 years) and we now carry it on. Always gets me a wee bit upset and I think if I had one wish it would be to have them back just for one day especially my grandad as I never met him.

Also hoping to pop and get some food shopping. Undecided whether to get my Crimbo unfresh stuff today or wait until next week. We are away on the 23rd for a week and taking our food with us

Did some present wrapping yesterday and hoping to get more done today. Started with the easy stuff - anything in a box or books :rotfl:

Did all the housework yesterday so all sparkly and clean here :D

Have a great start to the weekend

feeling grumpy and disorganised - after school club went to a panto last night and didn't get back till eleven. it was my job to tell all the parents as they arrived that the kids were going to be late :( No breakfast club this morning as its last day so am going to be late for work and then have to nip out at ten to give blood. Still it's the judges party tonight. I work in a court and the judges treat us to a posh party at christmas so wil let my hair down until ..... oooh at least 5.30 when i must, cinderella like, flee from the party to pick up littlie from her big sis.

    Morning all

Well done to all those with good news and hugs for those with problems.

Off to DD's nativity this morning and then off to take the oldies shopping. We have to make a visit to DH's Nanna tonight so it's going to be non-stop all day.

    Hello

I hope everyone is well and :grouphug: to all who need them

This is my weekly Friday drop in!

I have booked all Fridays off for December in the aim to get organised, so how come I am still disorganised??

    So far today
    TD on
WM to go on - it's a real pain having a dual washer/drier.
    DW loaded and done

    Ensuite blitzed
    Beds made
Main bathroom to do - but only needs a swish

Christmas Presents sorted into piles for wrapping
This has made me realise just how many there are still to get, but I have written a list.

Christmas cards to be stamped and posted
Parcel to collect from the sorting office

Ironing - The mountain once again. My NY resolution is to keep on top of this.

Dinner to sort - it was going to be fish but DS has invited a friend who is allergic to fish so need to put thinking cap on

Also need to visit Mr Tesco and possibly Mrs Asda for a look see.

Taking DS Christmas shopping after school to get DH pressie.

I think that is my day covered so off to get showered.

    Have a good day everyone.
    Love
    Gilly
  • Morning all!!!

W*** this morning, then w***'s Xmas party this afternoon at a local country hall place - should be nice!

Some bad news yesterday (I'm really not a pessimist - but I know it must sound like it!) - the part of the company I work for has been put up for sale. Alot of uncertainty. People talking about redundancy etc,

On the upside, we get our payrise still (YEY!!!!) and our bonus in March (double yey!) and due diligence etc take ages, so it'll be a while before anything happens. Time to revise the old CV...

    Big hugs to everyone.

Congrats to Aussielass on the floor coverings, will check out Lamb Island on Google Earth tonight! (love Google Earth, but its a bit scary!)

Huge congrats to Pookie and her OH!!! That's fab news, and just in time for Xmas!!!

tru - hope your dad enjoys a cuppa while waiting for the sun to come up!

thriftlady - hope DD does well in her exam

    Much luv to all,

    PG
  • Morning everyone! :santa2: I'm very excited today because DS20 is coming home from uni tonight :j and DD 22 is following on Sunday, my Christmas starts today, yay!

However before all that happens, I have a pile of washing AND ironing to plough through, I'm going to deep clean through downstairs in readiness for The Tree :xmastree: arriving tomorrow, I have three more presents to wrap and one to take to the Post Office to send off (just hoping our Post Office isn't going to be for the chop, it would be a disaster) in between preparing dinner and making sure DS can actually get INTO his bedroom - we've been using it as a Christmas present storage area :o

    Have a lovely day, everyone!
Breakfast: Grilled toms and mushies on toast
    Lunch: Leftover meatballs
Dinner: Probably salmon fillet and roast veggies

    Love
    FF xx
