he was right to complain he should not of had to come back .The compo was nice but should never of need to be paid as they should of sorted it ,the ops time may me be worth more than that anyway ,we do not know .

If they have not got staff to deal with this at the time then the till should not be operating during these times .

Thank you the point i'm making is i had been there 40 mins before they told me they could not do anything till this morning.

Personally I think the OP has every right to complain.
Even though they have been compensation, they still had to go back to the store the next day to get their change.
This is hardly what I would call good customer service.

and he might of needed the change to buy an electricity card and because of it had no power for the night ,or even to pay a loan shark and because of it he had his legs broken .

Sainsburys are the best ones, Firstly because I can grab some baked goods but I also always say I have re-used nine carrier bags even if I dont have any and I only bought one item.

So every trip I get free stuff and 9 bonus nectar points.

Sticking it to the man! :)

Your right my local asda i had a reduced item with the silly yellow sticker on and they did not know how to enter the reduced item through the till. They had to get a other member of staff to do it.

Seems to me the issue was mishandled all round

Yes the OP got a numpty assistant but at that point instead of meekly giving in they should have asked for a manager who WOULD have sorted it. If they couldn't find a manager or the manager said no -you just ask for their customer service number and ring them right there.

Morrisons know they got it wrong -they shelled out £40 and hopefully also apologized
