Vent: Comic Sans MS

Wow, a lot of people taking the moral high ground on this thread to make themselves seem like better people. The OP is allowed to hate something that improves the lives of others. Or is that against the rules of the forum? I suppose having a vent on the VENT section of the forum is frowned upon too?
Anyway, I work in a school and hate the use of Comic Sans on EVERYTHING. However, for worksheets and resources designed for the kids, it's a good informal choice. But I wouldn't dream of using it for letters home, reports, job applications etc.0 -

I use that when typing letters to Mrs MbW - it's like handwriting, but easier to read - my handwriting's awful.Old_Wrinkly wrote: »I like Lucida Calligraphy ...

The second sign seems to have been written by someone who forgot that some Fortune 500 companies actually started from something the size of a lemonade standgaming_guy wrote: »

I'm more concerned about the use of multiple exclamation marks, which are a sure sign of a diseased mind.

Not to mention the all caps too. I would have attached another A4 in response in bigger font size and bright red saying "OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"I'm more concerned about the use of multiple exclamation marks, which are a sure sign of a diseased mind.

Comic Sans is my favourite:D! I dislike Times New Roman though and it seems to be the default at my work.

I actually rather like comic sans, and never realised how much it is hated. Not really willing to give up using it though!
But I did draw the line at the job rejection letter I received the other month which was typed all in comic sans - so unprofessional!
During my education, and in all my office jobs it's always been Arial or Times New Roman 10 or 12pt. I'm not a fan of Times New Roman so stick to Arial.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
