Vent: Comic Sans MS

I like Comic Sans, being dyslexic I can confirm it is easier for me to read, whether or not is was created solely for this purpose. Loving TSCu_Comic as well.0

Its a Graphic Designer thing. The first thing I was taught in Uni was Comic Sans = BAD!!
I don't like it myself, it's overused and there are much more suitable, perfectly legible fonts out there. Its pretty much the industry wide joke now that it shouldn't be used. I'd lay odds that the OP is a designer or works within the industry. There are websites and allsorts dedicated to the cause.

I love Comic Sans, it is my favourite font.
But I do rather dislike Word Art.0 -
Picture doesn't seem to want to work! Here's the link! http://www.buzzhunt.co.uk/2011/05/19/fonts-as-dog-breeds/

Totally agree re: comic sans and wordart.
....Another offence to the eyes are those "screen bean" clipart characters."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
I cringe whenever I see the font used. In my mind, the only acceptable use is in... yep, you guessed it! Comics! And maybe kids party invitations...
1. The font is very poorly designed. The creator didn't consider the kerning or leading of the letters. Some letters have more spacing between them than other.
2. It is widely used out of context. It is generally classed as being a childish, amateur font. Why would a professional company or business want to appear childish?0 -
Sorry, but Comic Sans is the font of the dinner menu at a simple-people hospital. Harsh but true.Comping wins this month: 2 x business class flights anywhere we like | Horse vitamins (!) | New kettle | Motorcycling prints | Signed LPs | Thanks to all!0

[FONT=Lucida Calligraphy, cursive]... a better class of font ...

Best Microsoft font for body text is Arial or Verdana. Clean and legible.
My favourite, however, is Georgia and Trebuchet MS.
