This happens most days. How lucky you are to not suffer anxiety or depression.
By the way I passed the ATOS assessment and was placed in the support group.
And I am very happy you passed and getting all the support you need and deserve and hope you get well. People seem to think I want to stop people with a illness getting help I don't! I don't want people to sit at home and fester and then forgot about.EVERYTIME YOU THANK MY POSTS A PUPPY DIES!

Also, I was diagnosed with RA 5 years ago. I never had a day off sick with it, I now have a partially deformed finger and thumb on my right hand. All very see-able, I walk with a limp and just been measured for a splint for my left knee. I do not claim ESA for my RA as I believe I could still do some work despite the pain and slight deformity.
I know in time it will prevent me from working but I suppose then you would accept that fact because the disability can be seen!!!!!Just sold a lawnmower on Ebay.. That's the last time my neighbour will wake me up on a Saturday morning!0 -

And do you work because you enjoy it? It is nothing to do with a disability being seen, People are missing the point, Are you saying that once dignosd with a illness/disability that they should never be re-assesed? That would be bonkers.EVERYTIME YOU THANK MY POSTS A PUPPY DIES!

Hi Countryguy, you can receive therapy for your anxiety and epression,I hope you are receiving this instead of dependant on meds.
Also,Carolanne(op)-what is your disorder?the only reason I ask is if you have a cpn,you must have some sort of diagnosis and surely you would have been seen by a psychiatrist anyway?you dont just 'get' a cpn-they are for severe and enduring mental illness0 -

Hi Kezzygirl
I have had CBT and counselling. I have just been re-assessed for some other therapy but they have decided I need more counselling. I am lucky as I have a lot of support from all the mental health team.
I have been kept quite heavily sedated for just over 12 months now due to my erratic overdoses that most times I don't even know ~I've done it until I wake up some days later in hospital.
There does seem to be some kind of pattern to the overdoses though nobody knows or understands why (including me) Right now I am being carefully monitored (and trying to not be sectioned) as they think I'm due to overdose again within the next 2 months????? Sounds crazy doesn't it??Just sold a lawnmower on Ebay.. That's the last time my neighbour will wake me up on a Saturday morning!0 -

And some unspent reserve of energy.
I can do perhaps a couple of hours of work a day.
During this time - split into 10 or 20 minute bursts - I have to do everything - mowing the lawn, doing the washing up, tidying the house, keeping myself clean, applying for various benefits, trying and failing driving tests due to tiredness, ...
I'm barely managing at the moment - and 'unimportant' stuff - like talking to family, going out of the house more than once a month, gets dropped on the floor way more than I would like.
Could I with support do some volunteering? Sure.
But it would pretty much require someone to come in for an hour a day and do those tasks which I'm struggling with, and take me to/from the place, where I'd be able to help for at best an hour over a several hour day.0
