Yippee we have broken the £30k mark only another £30k to go !!
DH is really starting to take notice he is even doing a bit of work for me when he can to make a bit extra. Also planning to do another car boot soon to raise bit of cash for couple of days out over the summer. Feel like a team instead of me keep telling him off for spending money.

Good Morning another payday has come so nice to see it in the bank and not disappearing after paying the overdraft. I had managed to get it paid of with some extra money that I had coming in.
Can see how adictive all the saving can be just wish I could work a bit more to pay of more debts ! Really need to learn to be a better planner as have noticed that we never save for a rainy day or for extras eg Car Tax which we have to pay of each month as got into a habbit off being able to find the money somehow to pay of these things either by me doing extra work or carboots etc.
Last couple weeks we have paid my car tax £260 DHs Car Ins £230 ! Hoping to get DH to start on the bathroom this weekend as that is the last room to be done, also ask him nicely to take the bed we have up in the loft down to see ds likes it its a cabin bed if not going to take pics and put it on ebay as we have too much stuff up there !

Thought was about time that I wrote on hear again been so busy with kids and trying to earn extra money that I have no idea where time has gone. Another payday has just been and it is lovely to see money in the bank and not all eaten up by the overdraft well at least till our huge mortgage payment comes out.
Just cant believe that after all the extra costs like £300 for my car that we are not going to be overdrawn this month as long as my spreadsheet is correct and no extra cost comes up. :J
So next little task is to try and get below the £10k mark with the cards which DH did some transfers and they are all 0% till july next year. As well as keep overdraft free !

    Sainsbury Loan £19,000 ish
    Credit Card Barclays 0 % £[STRIKE]£9,785[/STRIKE] £9,565. MBNA 0% £[STRIKE]6,750[/STRIKE] £1,250 overdraft £[STRIKE]650.00[/STRIKE] now 0Credit Card sainsburys 0 % £[STRIKE]4,399[/STRIKE] £0 Total CC [STRIKE]£11,799[/STRIKE]now £10,815:eek:

Hi just as we where starting to get some where and I find out that where I had been working as a subbi they do not need me so much anymore aaah. Have worked out that I am only making £350 though after travel parking and childcare fees so not to bad but need to try and find a way to make up the short fall ! Already done loads to get rid of the overdraft and paid of DHs car ins and house ins as not been putting money by for these things basically as there has been none!
As I am only going to be doing the odd job here and there it is not worth going there as it will cost more in travel. Was meant to be going down this friday but not in the mood now also had job interview on friday got to second stage but did not go to well so not expecting much from that. There are just no jobs around at the mo just really annoyed at myself for getting in so much debt if we had none then we would be fine. Currently paying a loan off at £311 a month and two CC at £150 each. so even just the loan gone or CCs we would be ok.
Need a break with jobs been so unlucky since I moved here just to put the nail in the coffin so to speak my ex boss has said if I lived in Bristol she could get a couple of book keeping jobs aaaaah

After doing so well and starting to get back on our feet I have just found out that my main subcontract is ending was told on friday no more work so got couple of jobs to finish till 15th and thats it. Been playing around with spreadsheets and we would be ok till start of next year but would mean using the overdraft again. spoke to bank to see about going interest only which would save about a hundred a month to be told that we are going onto SVR in November 2011. No idea why they have that date as we signed a contract to be on a stepped fixed rate fixed till November 2012 so waiting till I get the letter to tell me about the change in rate. Would be lovely if that is right as would save us £300 a month which is the shortfall !!
If we had not been in debt would have had no worries as about £600 a month goes on it aaaaaaah

  • Feel like its christmas have just had a call from the bank and they are going to honour the SVR :j :j :j so we will be fine just as well as had done a food shop online lol
Still going to look out for a part time job that can be done in the evenings as would be lovely to get in some extra cash to start saving again for car insurance etc and not having to relay on making money at the time jobs for family or carboots etc.

Hi hun, keep meaning to post on your diary, but am busy doing other stuff, I do read and lurk, usually via phone, or fall asleep at laptop! and get woken up by DH angry because DS has woken up and is crying and I am asleep at laptop in front of tv.

Are you looking for actual work outside of the home?

Or can it be things done from home too? Fairyclicks has a website with things she does to make extra cash each month, might be worth looking at.
