Ally - You can marry me instead if you want
I really hope it's you next (I am sure everyone will understand that!) because I know how much it means to you, I hope Mr Ally soon realises it too, I send you all my lucky ring vibes xx
Yes, yes yes! :rotfl: and I am happy with a haribo ring. Look how easy it is boys!!
You guys are so so so lovely. You can all stay here forever and look after me, I don't care if you are married or not
I know that I mean the absolute world to him,.in a way tho it makes the situation even more frustrating!!
I had another whinge and moan at the weekend, still no advancement and I still don't understand why he doesnt want too. Past caring today! XX0 -

My hopes were up as last year he said he was considering proposing 'next year', plus he was excited that we would be away somewhere romantic for our 3 year anniversary, then he insisted we should go to a nice restaurant on the day etc.
But since then, he's said things like "people would think badly of me if I got you a cheap ring" and says I'm "just saying that" when I honestly say I'd prefer a cheap one! Now his hours have been cut at work and this weekend we had a big chat about the fact he's overdrawn and didn't tell me. So I know for a fact he hasn't the money to have bought a 'nice' ring, and I know he won't consider doing it without one. me rant.
Hugs hunrubbish, rubbish
my OH said to me 2 years ago that we would def be married this yeah. Hmpfh!
Have a lovely holiday and if something else happens then brilliant xx0 -

Most men like their proposal to be a surprise. If they know you're expecting it, they won't do it. At least that's what Mr D told me:D
We had been together for 3 years before I started making engagement noises and Mr D said that he wouldn't propose whilst I kept banging on about it.
I promptly kept my mouth shut and he proposed 8 months later.
Talking to him about it won't make him propose any faster, probably make him dig his heels in even more so be patient0 -
Would you ever change your whole personality to get (or think that you are going to get) your OH to propose e.g. no longer be a party animal, but more mumsy and domesticated?
Not me, but a lady I was chatting to about marriage tried this.
Any thoughts?0 -

Why is it that when you want something very much, you see it everywhere?!
In my workplace, there are 3 people getting married between now and August, and there have recently been yet more engagements - two.
Facebook. Posts from friends tagged in photos of their friend/family's wedding. Cousin bragging that his first anniversary is coming up. AND my brother and his girlfriend have just announed that they are getting married next year, and have asked us to save the date. That's the last of my siblings to get married, so I can just imagine that all comments about 'who is next' will be firmly directed at me during their reception.
To top the lot, today I open the local paper. What's in it? Bloody wedding photos, and one of them is of a woman I knew years ago. This will be her fourth marriage. I'm not that greedy, I only want one!!
And through it all, I have to smile sweetly, say 'congratulations' whilst all the while though I am happy for them, I am jealous as hell.0 -

I've been patient for 5 going on 6 years. I think my patience's patience has lost patience.0 -
