Waiting for a proposal - how did you stay sane?!

I was in a similar situation altho after 3 years together I knew we would be getting married as the ring was bough and he had even asked my Dad but 4 months later (and a romantic trip to Rome) that ring was still not in my finger!!! He finally proposed after 5 months and it was not until the speeches on our wedding day that I found out the plan had been to propose in Rome except he left the ring in his wash bag..which he left in the bathroom at home!!!

I hear you all. I've been with my OH for nearly a year (but we've known each other 14 years), he's 31, I'm 32, we live together and I'd love that ring! I just know he's the right one.

Congrats to Squirrel, and Ash keep your chin up and look at the happy things in your relationship - that's what I'm trying to do. Even without a sparkly and a wedding I love him and that's never going to change

Welcome to the newbies on this thread, I think we've all been in the same boat where we've thought were the only people in the world with these thoughts but come on here and we realise were not alone!

Speech time... I really want to take this opportunity to send a huge thank you to jtr for starting this thread and being brave enough to be the first person to air her thoughts on this subject! It cant have been easy but its really started a support network that I've found so helpful in bad times and good!
And all the other ladies on here are amazing too, I don't know what I would have done if I hadnt had all you lot to vent with!

Speech over... hang in there everyone, it WILL happen. and in the meantime we are a united shoulder to cry on! X

Aww squ1rrel that's lovely and I totally agree with the advice to hang in because it will happen, and in the meantime keep coming on here and ranting. x

25 is young, but I am 22 and getting married in September. I think if you know then you know, age is just a number after all....
This is my first post on this thread but I enjoy reading all of the updates you all seem so lovely! I hope you all get the outcomes you wish for x

Quick update ladies.... we are getting married this August... in NYC!!!!
Just booked it all now..... I actually feel quite sick as I am soooo nervous about it all, but very excitied too...

Hope you are all okay - anything happening with anyone at the moment x
