I don't think she was saying they were evil!! Just sounded to me like she was wondering why people who were so friendly with her in the past have not been in touch for a year. She's probably thought over a few incidents that happened in their company and put 2 and 2 together making 5.0

When your post went on and on, and i could see it getting towards the end and nothing had happened, i started to think it was a joke and was waiting for the punch line.
I think they were both hoping you'd join in, now they know you're interested just forget it. If there was going to be a problem it would have happened when they had you in bedLiverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

When did all this happen? It sounds like something from the 1960s weed-fuelled free lovin' hippiedom.
Ah the follies of youth...
Seriously, you told Bob to back off and you said to Betty that you found his behaviour odd. They've not been in touch for over a year, clearly they have taken the hint that you're not interested in being "souls in harmony".

That's right.
I also just wanted to know what people thought in general about
1. the being taken to a nice dinner randomly like that
2. Turning up in another country without warning
3. The footwashing & saying I could stay over and ending up 3 in a bed.
whether that's normal bevahiour or if I am being too uptight or what.
To the poster who asked what my husband thinks - I am no longer in a relationship with the person I was with at the time all this happened - when I told my current fiance he thought they were nutters who want me to be a 'sister wife':rotfl:0 -
Wow - all that detail about something so trivial and so long ago. You obviously have too much time on your hands OP!!0

In all honesty it's not how I would choose to spend time with my friends. I guess you're either up for this kind of bohemian open relationship or you're not.
Don't get hung up on whether it's normal or not, or whether you're normal or not, just do what's comfortable for you and let your friends live their lives the way they choose. It may seem a bit odd, but in the great scheme of the universe washing someone's feet is fairly harmless (as long as the washee is consenting of course!)Barclaycard 0% - [STRIKE]£1688.37 [/STRIKE] Paid off 10.06.120 -
Jeez, if this is what you call swinging, we (OH & I) have been doing it totally wrong the past few years!
Why bring this up now?
Do you miss the friendship?0 -
Chill out.
Nothing to it.
They probably not been in touch, because they were offended by your behaviour?
When I was with my first partner, he slept on the sofa and I shared a bed with his pervy mate and missis................. Nothing happened of course. We were all to stoned

Maybe you haven't heard from them because they're just not that into you after all.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

No it wasn't the 60s lol - it was very recent.
I just could not tell if the behaviour had sexual undertones or if they were just being friendly.
@ the other poster I understand some people are polyamorous or whatever but it has always been clear I am not and @ the time I was in a relationship so I do not understand why 'friends' would act this way.0
