Quidco Question and Answers

Hi
Been using Quidco for a few years now with no complaints :T
However on all THREE occasions I've bought something from VIRGIN, the cashback always has to be chased.
Lately I'm waiting for £50 back from Virgin Life. Policy tracked in Sept 11 and I raised a claim in Feb 12.
According to the Quidco Stats I'll get my money after 8 months from tracking (May 12)
I won't be holding my breath as both Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Casino really dragged their heels past the "stats"
If the Quidcare rep could kindly comment as to what Virgin are playing at it would be nice (I see others have problems with Virgin)
To everyone else:
Beware that Virgin are really slow to give you cashback0 -
Re my posts above;
had the following message from Quidco today:
........."Thanks for submitting a cashback claim for Ocado.
We have put your claim on hold for 26 days. The reason for this is that Ocado will only accept claims once this period has ended.
I will contact you to advise you when we send your claim off to Ocado."
Does anyone here understand why my claim is on hold for 26 days?
They say Ocado will only accept claims once this period has ended, but it dont explain why, or why it wasnt tracked in the first place. This makes no sense to me, and they certainly dont tell us this before we make a purchase.
When you follow their rules and make purchases this way in good faith, promises of cashback should be honoured. If Quidco and some of there participating customers are going to put people through this rigmarole people will be giving them a wide berth.
I for one will certainly be looking at using other cashback sites in future, and I certainly wont be trusting Ocado either.0 -

I absolutely agree with you DebiT ... my 'current' Quidco transaction is my first, and will be my last. (And furthermore, Quidco's 'main competitor' doesn't help itself to a £5 'admin fee'!)0 -
I have the same Ocado problem! Hopefully this means it's just them being lousing their end, rather than meaning we all won't be getting our cashback.
I have been using Quidco for about 2 years and it has been great (mostly), I didn't have much money from it for the past few months, then suddenly as everything is finally being paid I am getting £30 every fortnight, which is very nice!!0 -
Good afternoon,
@ZED – O2 Home Broadband transactions usually take around four months to be confirmed, from the date of your purchase. The message you received is to confirm that O2 have approved your transaction, however we now just have to wait to receive the cashback from O2.
@DebiT – It does sound like there may be an issue with Ocado tracking so I’ll ask our Administration Team to look into this. Ocado claims usually take around four months to be confirmed from the date that you raised the claim, however you should receive a response to the claim within around 60 – 80 days.
@blindman – I think Virgin Life Insurance payments have been delayed over the past few months but we are working on this and chasing them up on a regular basis. They do usually take an average of 8 months to pay, though.
@DebiT – All retailers have a validation period, over which time they will not accept any claims from us. This is usually around 30 days from the date that you made the purchase, although it does vary from retailer to retailer.
Quidco, nor any other cashback site will track your purchases, as we use third party affiliate networks to do this. The failure in tracking could be down to a number of things, from your browser settings/security software, to a problem with tracking on the network’s side. Do be assured that just because a purchase does not track, it doesn’t at all mean that it won’t be paid. It does just have to go through a manual process to be tracked in.
Many thanks,

Hi!
I am hoping that a Quidco Representative can help me please! I have had a Quidco account for 3 years now and have never had any problem before. I tried to sign in the other day but it would not recognise my password, so I thought maybe I had the wrong one or had changed it. I requested a new password but it comes up that my email address is not recognised!!! SO I can no longer sign in and I can not even get a new password as the system says that my email address is wrong!
I know 100% that it is the correct email address as I only have the one that I use for everything, and checking my inbox folder it shows that I have emails from Quidco previously. I have over £40 in transactions in an account that I cannot access, and I feel like banging my head against a wall!
I have emailed 3 times on the website in the past week but have no heard anything back.
Would be great if you could help me sort this out.
Thanks xx0 -
Hi there, I've been having problems even being able to sign into Quidco all weekend since I first tried on Friday. I have tried 3 different computers and it isn't even bringing up the website. Is there any maintenance going on or something else? Could do with some help in understanding tracking etc. please? I signed up to Quidco and took out a basic AA membership for £30 with a stated £21 cashback. Nothing happened for over a week so I raised a claim about a week ago which is shown on my account.
Is it likely that I did something wrong when I clicked through? I first clicked through to AA and filled in the form but needed some info and the page timed out. Went through Quidco again and tried again with a further problem. Through Quidco again and this time all went OK. The membership pack has come through. This is my first transaction with Quidco so I'm not sure if I've done something wrong or if there is any other reason that this did not track?0 -
Good morning,
@lillimoo – That’s very strange – can you please email members@quidco.com so we can check this for you? If possible can you provide your Quidco username also.
@hippychicknos1 – Are you receiving the ‘Quidco site undergoing maintenance’ message? As we did have an issue with this last week. To fix it, try completely clearing your browser cookies and cache, and it should stop it from happening.
@Claremac – Faults in tracking are usually attributed to your browser settings or security software. I’ll be happy to explain this in a little more detail for you. We work with third parties called ‘affiliate networks’, who track all purchases for us. What can sometimes happen is your security software or browser settings can see the affiliates as a threat to your computer, as they need to track your cookies in order for the cashback to track. If their access is blocked, then this will prevent tracking. Also do ensure that cookies are enabled on your browser and cleared before every purchase, pop up blocker is disabled, and your security level isn’t too high - this should help improve tracking. Don’t worry if a purchase doesn’t track, though, as we can always have it tracked in manually via a cashback claim.
Many thanks,

Hi,
My account is showing as me having £51 coming to me in the next payment run. Over the past few months this has slowly increased without anything actually reaching my account.
I have specifically set my paid amount to £25. I feel I may have been missed out of my payment runs. Can you advise when each payment runs is?
Thanks,0
