    Hi@Miss.Fortune,

I am afraid you do have to be a completely new customer to be eligible for cashback with insurance retailer's who have this term and condition.

A new customer is a customer who has not had a policy with the insurer for at least a twelve month period.

As you currently have a policy with the insurance provider, even if you cancel the renewal and take out a new policy via Quidco, I am afraid you would not be considered a new customer and would therefore, not be eligible for cashback.

I am very sorry for any disappointment this may cause you.

    Kind regards,

    Quidco Company Representative

No problem - thank you for clarifying. It's better to know in advance rather than be disappointed afterwards.

I will just look for another cashback offer.

    Thanks :)
  • I have signed up here just to say I am have done one transaction with Quidco and had one major issue already.

What a brilliant start to what will be a very short relationship.

Also, just out of interest, had a search for Quidco on Mumsnet. The first three search results are:
    1. How to claim money back through Quidco.
    2. Is Quidco really s**t?
    3. Quidco - do they ever pay out?

Get the customer, get the commission, get rid of the customer, keep the commission.....and repeat.

Yet another declined cashback from Quidco this time for a British Gas Homecare Service Agreement. I have chased this up for four months and today received the following reply:
    Hi,
We are writing to you about your cashback claim, as we have now had a response from the retailer.
Unfortunately, on this occasion your claim has been declined because the cashback from your sale will not be paid to us by the retailer. In order to pay us, they have to recognise us as having been the party who referred the sale to them, and in this case they do not.
Please be assured that we have looked into this for you further, prior to contacting you today, as we like to do everything we can to obtain payment for you. I understand that this is a disappointing outcome but, due to the nature of online cashback, we cannot always guarantee that you will be successful in receiving your cashback. If we do not receive payment from the retailer, we are unable to pass this on to you.
Declined claims benefit neither our customers nor Quidco, so we do share your disappointment.

To add insult to injury I have not yet had my boiler serviced! It seems ironic to me that all the tiny amounts of cashback go into my account without problems yet the bigger amounts always get declined or I face spending a huge amount of time emailing Quidco to get my money. My last claim took 10 months. Unless you have lots of time on your hands I really think cashbacks are not worth the trouble. Quidco are still promoting cashback with British Gas so you have been warned!

    @mrs scrimpy

    Hi @molerat,

I am sorry to hear you have not received your payment yet. Please do not worry as your payment should arrive in your bank account by tomorrow (Wednesday 20th).

We did experience a slight issue with the payment run on Thursday, causing the payments to be sent out on Friday and as payments can take 3 working days to arrive in your account from the date the payment was sent, you should receive you payment by tomorrow.

    I hope this reassures you.

Had over £2000 back from quidco over the years so happy with the site overall but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has ever been paid out by 888?

I complied with the rules completely but they have declined my £50 cash back. I've created a claim some weeks ago but no update and seeing the feedback on the site pretty much matches my experience,I'm suspect that 888 fail to pay out on many many occasions, if not them all.

And if was far in a way the worst betting app I've used as well.

    Hi Quidco

I used Quidco to book a hotel through hotels.com a while back, and completed the stay over the weekend.

The cash back still hasn't tracked, but when I try and submit a claim it says I can't because I booked over 7weeks ago. Does this mean that even though the stay was only this weekend, I can't claim the cashback?

How frustrating when the terms and conditions seem to read that you have to wait until after your stay for it to show in your quidco account.

    Please can you advise?
