I have several questions about the 10% cashback offer on PC World yesterday.
I paid for an expensive item with a credit card and this morning I received a phonecall from PC World apparently to verify that it was actually me using the card. Will the fact that they contacted me to do a security check before processing my order invalidate the cashback?
I also wanted to buy a tablet but it was only available on reserve and collect. Will I still get the 10% rate even though I only paid for it today (although reserved it yesterday)?
When I collected it I had a chat with a sales manager about possibly buying some other stuff. In the end I didn't but then he threw in virus protection software for free with my tablet. The total amount I paid was the same as the reservation order. Will the alteration to the items I actually received invalidate the cashback?
There was also another PC World cashback offer of double the rate if you spend a certain amount in both December and January. Is this based on the cashback rate being offered on the date of the order?0 -
In addition to being stiffed on the Three top-up offer (lost £25), I've got an ebookers tracked transaction from August that is still not confirmed. It's actually the wrong amount (half), but I've been told that I need to wait til it's confirmed before raising a claim for the correct amount.0

Dear Rosie,
I refer to your recent reply to one of the listees as follows:
@rummy: ......In regards to the Experian cashback unfortunately they were one of the few retailers that did not accept cashback claims, so regrettably in a case like that if a purchase doesn't track there is nothing that we can do.
I think it would be very useful if you could provide a list of the other "few retailers" - we would then know which companies to avoid.

How can you contact quidco? there seems to be no way of doing it now.
Having just had my 3rd or 4th considerable amount declined I would like some answers as to why, "paid to another cashback" doesn't stand up as I only use quidco I always clear cookies I get the feeling as a company they are profitting from declined cashback.
I made a purchase from carphone warehouse in October first declined as paid to somewhere else after raising a claim it says I didn't follow T+Cs which I definitely know I have.0 -
what is it with this new retention fee? i thought i am charged £5 annually for membershiip but now about 20% has been deducted from my latest cashback. the website does not explain it properly. is this new fee in addition to the £5 and will it be for every cashback?QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0

I'd like to second the request @oldenufftoknowbetter made for a way to contact quidco. I've been round and round the quidco site, trying to find various ways through the Quidcare help centre that would result in the ability to actually contact Quidco to no avail. And yes that includes clicking on the "Contact Quidcare" link which one might reasonably expect would allow you to send a message to someone who might be able to help. But no it doesn't. Apparently my issue should be answered by one of the options in the dropdown menu and when it isn't, well, then there is no actual "Contact Quidco" option.
Sorry for being long-winded but this just seems incredibly frustrating. Sure, direct people to look at the FAQs and various processes that are set up first but then give people access to someone or something if none of these fit their situation. Just the ability to send a message that can include information that I can't submit through any of the other channels would be nice.
Okay, here are the specifics of my issue:
I signed up for an American Express Preferred Rewards Gold Card (as suggested by the MSE weekly email and the AmEx card has been great and comes with really fabulous customer service by the way) having clicked through from Quidco.
The 'purchase' appeared to track, eventually at the correct amount £10, however it somehow has been assigned to "American Express British Airways Credit Card" which I did not sign up for and, perhaps unsurprisingly then, has now been declined.
If I try to pursue a declined cashback claim for the Preferred Rewards card it says it has no record of a declined transaction with this retailer and to "contact us if you wish to ask a question about a transaction with this retailer". But again how do I contact Quidco?
If i try to pursue a declined cashback claim for the British Airways card then it asks for credit card number and type. Do i do this since they clearly won't be correct for the claim? I guess this is my only option. Interestingly I should note that the cashback amount would be wrong if I had signed up for the AmEx British Airways card because then it should be £15.
If I choose "my purchase is not tracked in my account" and select American Express Preferred Rewards Card from the list (yes it is in the list!!!), I'm told it must be more than 45 days from the purchase date (it isn't) and there's nothing Quidco can do. Again no ability to contact Quidco.
So, basically I'm incredibly frustrated with Quidco and their lack or relevant customer support. I've probably now wasted more time than it's worth on a £10 claim and the only real gain would now be if Quidco implements a better support system, one in which you can submit a query and get help with your issue whether it fits the inaccurate data they hold on your transactions or not.0 -

Starving Artist - the security call happened to me a couple of years ago when I purchased the first iPad and I still got my cashback so you should be fine. Was expecting not to as no where else at the time was giving cashback on Apple products or at least not the iPad. I think it might have been slow to track but it did. I was more annoyed that the security verification slowed down dispatch of my order.
I can't comment on the other aspect re instore except to say that I have also had reserve and collect items and they tracked and paid quite quickly.0 -

Does anyone know what "facebook promotion" is? I've got an amount of £2.90 in my account with this next to it.
with regard to the "faster paying" i queried a mothercare order i'd placed that hadnt confirmed even though more recent ones had. I was told that the first order was placed BEFORE they switched to faster paying so would take longer......it cleared about 3 weeks later.Last bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0
