I upgraded to Sky Fibre Broadband and had to raise a claim because it wasn't tracked, just received their response "Response from Merchant. Enquiry Unsuccessful - Transaction cannot be traced"
Is that the end of it, can they get away with this or is there anything else I can do?
I wouldn't mind so much but the Fibre is half the speed promised so the whole transaction has been a scam!
Sky are one of those companies that get high prominence oN cashback sites with their massive £80 cashback and M&S vouchers.
But they have never tracked for me and many others - and they get away with it. Its time non-payers were given black marks to warn people (or even removed from the site) - not get their cashback flashed all over the home page :mad:0 -
I used topcashback a few months back, used it to get cashback on phone contract and netflix with no problems, I then used it for a 30 day vodafone contract and it never tracked. I decided to move to quidco, since moving there I've had to manually track everything! 3 times with tesco and once with republic. Nothing seems to want to track on my computer. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong for it to never track, any help would be extremely appreciated. Thanks.0

I have been using Quidco quite happily for a couple of years but they have recently let me down very badly.
I purchased a laptop from Dell in April 2012 through Quidco, from which I was expecting cashback of £51.67. However they tell me that the transaction has been declined as Dell has paid the cashback to another referrer. I don't use any other cashback site (although this may change!) so looks like an error on Dell's part.
However Quidco are not prepared to help me, they say that they cannot contact Dell again even though they admit the purchase was made and tracked through their own site! I have queried this and just been fobbed off with the same response each time. I notice from other posts that in this case some cashback sites will still pay out from their own funds - so come on Quidco how about you sort this out for me?0 -
I havent got much tracking through at the moment so when its all paid im switching to topcashback for 2 reasons they pay a lot quicker and i can convert my money to amazon vouchers for next christmas. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Placed an order for the vodafone deal and took screen shots the entire way through plus kept a note of the referral link. However, it did not track on Quidco and of course, I'm very unhappy about it. So I have emailed Vodafone to tell them that I will be ending the contract (it hadn't even started yet) as I'm not willing to pay that price. Very disappointed.
It's also left the credit check mark on my credit file which means I will not be able to get a contract with o2 now. Grrrr.0 -
Have used them for years but have to agree with fellow posters that customer service has deteriorated this year. Probably nearer to 50 % of my transactions dont track automatically, previously it would be occasionally now its becoming the norm but certain retailers are worse than others.
It is frustrating raising a claim and this is where the decline seems most apparent, I get the impression they don't read any correspondence anymore as its all rather generic in reply and lacks any human contact. They have removed their e-mail address and you can only contact them now via a very limited drop down menu that very rarely caters for any scenario I have but then if your dissuaded from claiming their admin has reduced considerably but they still get the £5 annual fee !
The customer service is definitely going in the wrong direction and maybe its time to switch after years of loyalty as everything has its day, will transfer to Topcashback as only heard good things from friends who use them.0 -
Good afternoon,
@Monkey82 – I’m very sorry to hear that. Have you raised a support ticket for this at all? If not, can you please raise a claim via this link.
@mum26 – Ah OK, that must be the case then at this stage. However do be assured we’ll let you know as soon as there is an update.
@geewhiz – Don’t worry, we can always look into cases like this for you as ‘can’t be traced’ generally isn’t a reason that we accept. Can you please raise a support ticket via this link?
@michaelmoses1 – The revenue is basically the fees that are paid on an eBay sale. The eBay fee system is quite complex; there are fees to list a product and fees when the product sells (Final Value Fee), plus several optional adornment fees, all based on various factors and scales. Because of this, we can’t actually provide an exact amount of cashback that you will receive, as it isn’t always dependent on price.
@techspec – I’m sorry to hear that. Although we can’t provide ‘black marks’ as it were, we do actually have a new ‘merchant reviews’ feature, so do feel free to leave your review on the retailer’s page if you like!
@df03 – Thanks for confirming. I’ve spoken to our marketing department and we will be sending out a reminder email on Sunday so you will be able to click opt in then, and all the purchases you’ve made from 11th November (after 2pm) will count, it doesn’t matter what time you opted in (as long as you do!).
@kyle323 – Sorry to hear that your purchases aren’t tracking. We usually find that non-tracking is down to browser or security software settings on your computer. If you take a look at this guide and apply the settings accordingly, this should help.
@vixtagirl – I’m very sorry to hear that your cashback was declined for this reason. Unfortunately Dell have been very strict about their recent declines and will not look into any cases for us, as much as we’d like to help further.
@rummy – Please don’t worry, non-tracking certainly doesn’t mean that you won’t get paid for something. I’ve had to raise a few claims in the past (and I work here!) but they have always been successful. As long as you’ve met all of the conditions for cashback, there shouldn’t be any reason it won’t be paid.
Many thanks,

I bought travel insurance through quidco compare on 1/11/12 with Protect Your Bubble. It's not tracked yet and it's not on a the list of retailers so i can't submit a claim.
What's the normal tracking speed for insurance comparison purchases and what can i do about claiming for the non-tracked purchase?Aiming to pay off £50,312.94 in less than 3 years - Starting from December 2015

I bought a laptop on eBay Electronics on 17th Oct.
All fine, got the laptop OK and payment went through via Pay Pal.
It cost £999 + postage, and Quidco cashback was tracked at £20.10.
Then I got a notification from ebay that the seller was cancelling the transaction (no reason given), and the seller also sent me a message saying that if I accepted the cancellation they would give me £15 back - they explained that by cancelling the transaction they would not have to pay the eBay seller's fee, which I worked out would be around £100. I thought this was a bit dodgy, and in any case their offer was less than what I was getting from Quidco.
I actually misread the eBay message, and did nothing - I think I should have declined the cancellation, but I the seller said in his message that if I did nothing he would not invoke the cancellation. Anyway, I ended up doing nothing and the cancellation case was closed by the seller.
Today I have checked my Quidco activity and the transaction now has a status of "declined".
I've raised a cashback claim on the Quidco site, but the form does not allow me to explain the above circumstances.
What do you think the chances of getting this cashback are?Goals: Mortgage Free: Dec 2012 - complete (13y 8m early)
