I checked the requirements for bone marrow donation, and the issue that used to stop me is no longer applicable (as I haven't had an epileptic fit, or needed medication for it in over 3 years), so I am going to ask my local hospital (via Twitter - check them out getting all modern!) about local blood and bone marrow donation here in the Netherlands.February wins: Theatre tickets0

Well, I found information about blood donation, and know where to go. Think it I am OK to do it, except for the fact that I (obviously) lived in the UK for more than 6 months between 1980 and 1996.
I've emailed a query about this though, and am awaiting confirmation. For information, the Dutch blood donation site is here: http://www.sanquin.nl/Sanquin-eng/sqn_donor_eng.nsf/All/Are-You-Allowed-To-Give-Blood-.html and in English

So sad to see someone so young baring the burden of cancer
. I wish I lived closer or had something more to offer. Already a blood doner but will sign up for the bone marrow donation too. Will also make a donation to a cancer charity.
I truly hope she can fufil her dreams.0 -

OP, well done on helping Alice complete her bucket list.
I hope you have a wonderful time Alice and that your days are filled with as much excitment as you can fit in. I am sure I speak for all of us when I say we will be thinking of you at this happy, but also very sad time. You are such a brave young girl and this puts my problems into perspective. x0
