There isn't anything on the list I can do either (another one who can't donate blood ).

But I could send some treats from Holland if she'd like that? I'm thinking some stroopwaffels (literally - syrup waffles) and speculaas (a nice type of biscuit), and maybe a few token souvenirs or something from Amsterdam? Just doesn't seem enough though.

Just had a call from reporter at The Sun, they will do a story, possibly even tomorrow!! Brilliant!

Anythingsent is so so much appreciated by the kids and their families. Thank you for thinking of this lovely girl.

There's not really anything on the list I can help with but I'll definitely be doing something for her and her sister. Poor love. It's hard when you lose your parents but I can't even imagine how bad it must be to know you will lose your child. I wish the whole family strength.

I'm going to send the details round my office here (in Nairobi Kenya) and hopefully we will be able to put together a box of goodies to try to bring Kenya to Alice as she can't come to us! I will also be registering as a bone marrow donor next time I am in the UK.

In the meantime I'm going to stick a postcard in the post. Thank you so much for posting this up xx

No I have never met Alice, I just write to the kids via post pals and Alice is a very popular girl there. As fas as I know Alice just has the one sister. And her dog who she adores!
