...Aye right... the OP has screwed up....they should not be firm...they should beg and offer to pay all reasonable costs in order to get the tix.

BTW do we have any proof the tix have been delivered?

i did beg him...in fact 2months ago when i initially moved out the landlord asked me for a forwarding address to send any mail on.....so why hes dragging his heels now i have no idea...

the police said that i should speak to a solicitor as it is illegal to 'withold post' only i cant afford a solicitor. the only reason i posted on here was to seek advice since this is what thjese forums are for!

he's sent them this morning 2nd class....so heres hoping.

    thanks

If they're worth £250, then you should do an instant bank transfer to your ex LL (plus some extra money for the inconvenience) and get him to send them special delivery, which is the only valid and insured way to send tickets in the post.

Or why can't you go and meet your LL to get them?!? At his convenience? And bring him a very expensive bottle of wine to say thank you!

(It was your responsibility to set up post re-direction. I've forwarded mail on to people before, but if you're expecting someone to do that, then once a week is acceptable.)
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I had concert tickets delivered by Ticketline in January 2009 for a festival in August. I completely forgot I had received them.

I rang Ticketline a few weeks before the festival asking where they where. They said they had been tracked to my block of flats and signed for. I said somebody else must have signed for them as I did not. They sent me the signature (I did not recognise as my signature is crap). Had a bit of an argument and they re-issued the tickets to me.

I then found the originals that I had signed for before the festival. I just handed the spare set in when I arrived telling them what happened.

Maybe I had an unusal case and I suppose a festival is a bit differnect as its huge.

sent them 2nd class....he's having a laugh...no proof of postage or delivery now I'm afraid....unless the trip involved a flight or a ferry crossing, I would have visited him myself or asked a friend still in that area to visit him....lets be realistic....how far away was your flat?
No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere
