Ticketline refusing to reprint standing Take That tickets...

I have 4 x £60 tickets for the Take That concert in Manchester on Friday.
I have since moved from the address that I asked Ticketline to send these too. The tickets have been delivered and tracked to that address (not signed for).
My old landlord is dragging his heels on forwarding my mail ( I still have payslips from 2months ago that he has not forwarded)... I have explained to him that I have some 'very important mail' that I needed forwarding ASAP.
I have spoken to Ticketline who said that they cannot reprint my tickets/cancel the old tickets and reissue...
Therefore, at the moment I stand to lose £250...
Worse still I live right by the convernt venue and can see fans arriving for their fun evening out and I can hear Take That vaguely from my balcony...
can anyone advise?!

Thanks in advance
Rebecca

Could you not go to the address where the tickets were delivered, knock the door and see if whoever answers has your mail?

I take by this you moved out of the house over 2 months okay correct? So why did you allow them to be sent there?0 -
I found the quote below on another forum (might need checking).Postal Services Act 2000
s. 84 Interfering with the mail: general
(1) A person commits an offence if, without reasonable excuse, he—
(a) intentionally delays or opens a postal packet in the course of its transmission by post...
How long til the concert? I'd write to the landlord reminding him that it's a criminal offence to delay mail and give him a few days to forward all your mail. Threaten him with the rozzers. It's a crime after all (although they'd probably not be that interested, tbh)."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I didn't realise they were going to that address, I presumed they would go to my parents address ( I still have important corrospondence like bank statements going here).
There is nobody living at my old flat at the moment so knocking on the door is not an option.
Also, Ticketline sent an email to say anychanges to delivery address needed to be made before 25th February....I moved on 22nd March so it would have been too late anyway.
I should have really got a redirection by royal Mail but I find it ridiculous that Ticketline they will not reissue tickets (being that most venues scan the barcode)...as people move house/lose tickets all the time.

Its standard procedure not to reprint standing tickets, there's pretty much nothing you can do about this if you can't get the tickets back from your old address. You could have rang and told them your new address and they would have sent them there after a few confirmations of identity

Sorry OP, my post crossed with your's whilst I was typing!0 -
Why would you presume that though? What address did you give the ticket company when you booked the tickets?mozzalicious wrote: »I didn't realise they were going to that address, I presumed they would go to my parents address ( I still have important corrospondence like bank statements going here).:cool:0 -

many thanks for yoru advice! I did call the non emergency police number + they said i shoudl ask a solicitor to write to the landlord. (not that I can afford to pay a solicitor to do this!) they said tit's very hard to proove that he has stolen the mail...
I may well write a letter stating the above though...the concert is Friday so I have a few days..fingers crossed!!
It would be much easier if Ticketline would just reprint though!0 -

Seems pretty obvious why they can't though...mozzalicious wrote: »It would be much easier if Ticketline would just reprint though!

Don't get too hung up on Ticketline's processes - they're up to them. Your problem is with your landlord. However, one could argue that it's not his job to provide you with a mail redirection service - perhaps you should have set that up with the RM. But that doesn't help. Instead of being euphemistic and saying you've got 'important mail' why not just say "I've spent £250 on tickets and I'd very much like to go to the concert and not waste my money. Please give me my tickets"!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
