i gave my old address as I was still living there at the time. These tickets were booked and paid for months ago...
So again, if you gave them your old address I can't imagine why you'd think the tickets would go to your parents address. :(

Why would you presume that though? What address did you give the ticket company when you booked the tickets?

I think the comment was about why it took so long to realise the pay slips were missing - not about the tickets.

You didn't owe leaving rent did you? Perhaps he's flogged the tickets? ;):D

Pay slips to the parents'! not the tickets. (I think).

I found the quote below on another forum (might need checking).

How long til the concert? I'd write to the landlord reminding him that it's a criminal offence to delay mail and give him a few days to forward all your mail. Threaten him with the rozzers. It's a crime after all (although they'd probably not be that interested, tbh).

He's not delaying the mail. You will see that the offence occurs "during the course of its transmission in the post...". It has been delivered to the address on the envelopes. He is under no legal duty to pass it on quickly or at all.

i presumed the tickets would go to my parents as I get all important mail to go there..but as I live in Manchester and the concert is up here I ordered to tickets to arrive here...(and forgot this until recently!)

Outpost - I dont see why its obvious that ticketline cant reprint tickets....if all tickets have a barcode why cant they cancel them and just reissue new ones? Lots of companies do this...

As for the payslips, the fact that I will have recieved at elast 2 payslips now and now recieved any from the landlord suggests that he IS keeping mail/not bothering to forward on.

But there will be mail at my old flat other than my Take That tickets.....and the fact that he has not sent this on is surely breaking the law?

    Thanks

Its just the thing with standing tickets, they never have and never will reproduce them, its a pain in the a**e to get them to do it for seating tickets! Its there policy, and sometimes (unfortunately) you just have to chalk it up to experience. It's not Ticketlines fault, so no matter how much you bug them, there is nothing they will do. They have honoured there end of the deal, by sending out the tickets to the address that you gave them, how were they to know that you've moved house and can't get the mail that is being delivered there?

No, I'm afraid not. It wouldn't make sense to place such a legal obligation on any individual.
