Its there policy, and sometimes (unfortunately) you just have to chalk it up to experience. It's not Ticketlines fault, so no matter how much you bug them, there is nothing they will do. They have honoured there end of the deal, by sending out the tickets to the address that you gave them, how were they to know that you've moved house and can't get the mail that is being delivered there?
Yes i know and i realise that I must take responsibility for moving house and not getting RM re-direction...however I think that it's really bad customer service that Ticketline won't reissue tickets for Standing but they will for Seated tickets...whats the difference?
Thanks

but what about the post office act that the guy above posted?
I did ring the non emergency police phone number and they said it is illegal to keep someones mail or read it but it's hard to proove that he has it..0 -

Outpost - I dont see why its obvious that ticketline cant reprint tickets....if all tickets have a barcode why cant they cancel them and just reissue new ones? Lots of companies do this...
As for the payslips, the fact that I will have recieved at elast 2 payslips now and now recieved any from the landlord suggests that he IS keeping mail/not bothering to forward on.
the tickets would be set to the address provided by you, if you provided them with your old address eg the flat then why not call up as soon as you knew you were moving and get the address changed0 -

As I explained in my first post, that part of the Act relates to letters and parcels "during the course of transmission in the post". Once they have been dropped through the letterbox, they are posted.
Imagine if you had a duty to send post here, there and everywhere because it dropped through your letterbox. It's just not feasible to place such a legal obligation on anyone.
What the police say is wrong. IT would be an offence to intercept say, a bag of letters that hadn't been posted. But, there is nothing wrong with not doing anything with post that drops through your door.
Your only option really is to contact your LL and arrange to collect the mail from him before Friday.0 -
It's just one of those things, they won't do it. Before ticket scanners it was due to health and safety, obviously if two people went with the same seating tickets it would be quick and easy to prove who had the correct ownership of the seats, but with standing gigs people are allowed to just filter onto the floor, causing over crowding and potentially go over there stated capacity limit. The rules just haven't changed really since then.
A well known trick to go onto the floor (with ticket/wristband whatever), go to the security like "Oh my gosh I lost my ticket/wristband, can you give me another please?", then take your spare ticket/wristband up to your mate who got stuck in seating. Or slip them your seating ticket with £20. All these cause the venue undue hassle and problems with health and safety and its simply not worth it in there eyes. It's just one way to concur part of the problem. There would be nothing to stop you with a seated ticket you managed to get on the cheap, to walk down the steps with a duplicate standing ticket of your friends (I'm presuming the TT tickets were sold in different price levels).0 -
Taken from Ticketlines website-I have lost my tickets, what should I do?
If you have misplaced your tickets, you should contact us as soon as possible. Click here to email Customer Services, please select 'I've lost my tickets' from the Query Type dropdown. Or you can call us on 0844 888 4420.
We will do whatever we can to help, however you should be aware that it is not always possible for tickets to be duplicated. Generally, most seated tickets can be reissued but unfortunately General Admission, Unreserved or Standing tickets can not.

I still don't understand why after you moved you didn't phone the seller and change the address. I'm sure they have it all the time!0

So instead of keeping it, he disposes of it.
I doubt he has read it.
Why not (as already said) phone him and tell him straight you have had tickets sent there, be friendly and hope he plays ball rather than tryin to criminise him. Thats not going to get you anywhere!0 -

I didnt call Ticketline because I wrongly presuem the tickets were going to my parents house....even if I had called them theere would be nothing they coul dhave done becuase I moved house on 22nd March and they had sent an emailed stating any deliver address changes needed to be made by 25th February....
I have spoken to my landlord and he will post at some point...who knows how urgently..0
