We didnt have any here as far as i know. I left OH at home while the rest of us went out and the bucket of sweets we did have is still there. I think he sat watching TV with the lights off to make it look like we were not here.
OH thinks once he is being paid better we wont need to do DMP but i thnk we will unless it is a very well paid job. I told him to let me know as soon as he knows re job so just got to wait i guess. Going to put kids to bed and then sort out pennies so i know bills will get paidMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

A little update - The bloke OH went to see wants him to start tomorrow. All good but one problem is there is already someone n line for job although apparently he seems very unkeen to do it. Manager man doesnt think he will even turn up and would much prefer OH to join the team. Money not great but permenant and he gets his experience that everyone else wants.
My only worry is he doesnt have set amount of hours that he will definately do so i cant work out definate pay - i am like this though and need to know in advance how much money is coming in. We will still need to do DMP so have been getting the rest of the paperwork ready this eveningMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Hi only 1 NSD so far but at least its 1!
He got the job and starts monday which is a relief. Will get him to ask about minimum hours but i think he said it was around 45-50 hours per week and maybe 3 nights out of 5 out. Need to get him a sat nav (borrow his dads for now), bedding (lots in cupboard but need a pillow and duvet) and a car charger for his phone. Other than that we are all set. First payment will be on 21st Nov and the week before will be no money as paid week behind from Agency if that makes sense. As long as i have enough for mortgage by 1st i will be happy.
Got lots to do tonight - Deliver remaining avon, bag up next lot of avon brochures, paint letters for friend so best get dinner sorted soon. Feeling quite happy todayMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Glad your OH has got a job in the area of work he wanted - as you said in an earlier post - he needs experience before he can get the better paid jobs. We all have to start somewhereAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Ok i have 2 more NSD's under my belt bringing it to 3 so far for this month. Well sent OH to his new job at half 4 this morning then didnt get back to sleep until half 5 at the earliest. Then woke up at 8 paniking we would be late for school - knew i should have just got up and done some work - never mind at least OH didnt oversleep. Didnt get any wages from OH last week as he will need all the money he had for this job - tolls / food at night as we not sorted cooking bits out yet / parking fees - so things will be a little tight this week. On the up side me and the kids would quite happily live off jacket potatoes and beans on toast all week if needed. Going to find some cheap recipies that me and kids will eat - were not worried about meat each day so as long as they have some fruit and veg and milk each day i think we can live quite cheaply. I hope he likes it and we dont miss each other too much while he is away. I have been feeling that i need cuddles all weekend. I am sure we will all get used to it soon plus while he is gone i can paint and get the house nice - already got the paint. Need to save for 2 curtain poles but got the curtains. Wanted this done before he got his job but we didnt have the money so will save up.
Its really drab outside, very grey and misserable. I need to deliver avon books again -collected one of my good roads this morning on way back from school and only had about £30 in orders - heres hoping it improves in the next few rounds.
I am starting to worry about christmas. It is getting close very quickly and we dont really have any money and everyone is asking for vouchers for this and that. Normally if i would find the cheapest of what they want and often find them for sale or online and therefore not pay as much as they think but with vouchers it is not possible. I am making some things but not enough to make much of a difference to the overall cost this year. I did have a xmas pot that i was saving in buut due to everything that has gone on i had to use it for bills. Most of the family do not know we are in difficulty and i would like to keep it from them if possible but will have to tell them if it comes to it.
Well i have lots to do and already gone on a lot so must do some real work. Have a great dayMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
