Finally sent the remaining information off to cccs so i guess its just a waiting game now. Spent some money getting a few bits today so will try tomorrow for a NSD although looking unlikely at the moment as vsiting a lot of family so will prob buy petrol if nothing else. Early night due to stupid early start this morning so i think it will be early dinner bath and bed for us all tonight. Hope everyone else had a good day :)

Back home from a busy day visiting family for LO birthday - cant quite believe she will be 1 tomorrow. Picked up some money that was due to me from old baby clothes but spent a little bit of that on a new sleeping bag for youngest (baby grow one). Still left me with £18 ish. Got home to find tax due on car at end of this month so will have to find that somewhere or be walking again! Grandma in law gave me £20 to buy a pair of shoes today when we visited and told me not to spend it on bills or the children. She wants to see new shoes on saturday when she visits :)

Also decided that OH's sister and her OH will just buy xmas pressies for children only and us theirs. We only swap vouchers normally so that will save us a little bit of money. If i could just persuade the rest of that side of the family to do the same that would be great. Might mention it tomorrow when they come round. Think might get the sewing machine out tonight and do some of the kids pressies before xmas is here! What do you buy a 80 odd year old grandma who has quite bad alzheimers for xmas? She doesnt even remember who we are most of the time but need to get her something even if only a token pressie. Think this is another mission for today - write shopping list for pressies so that even if i dont have the money now, at least when i do i will know what i want. Oh i will be busy this evening once kids in bed.

  • evening slm, you are way ahead of me on nsd's lol! well done!

As for presents, who is asking for vouchers, i think that's jolly rude putting in an order from family...i find it cheeky enough the kids like to write long lists lol never mind any one else telling me exactly what they want. Unless i ask them specifically i'd be a bit miffed if someone told me that they want something in particular? I have just ordered dh's sisters (x2) and my sisters (x2) token pressies from body shop. And also one for our mums. little box sets, not much but we're broke lol and no credit this year to buy nice things for all. I've already told the adults not to expect anything but i couldn't turn up empty handed so have spent around £4-5 on each person!

Have you scoured local charity shops for gifts for kids & family? or have kids got to that age yet where they know what they want lol (my 13 yr old is the worst!) the other two got what was on offer in the argos sale ;)

How about buying gran a nice framed picture of the kids? This is what i get my nan every year lol and she's never said she didn't like it and has pretty much most of them up all over the house :p (along with all the other grandkids lol)

hope you hear back from the cccs soon, they did mine pretty quick so hopefully next month you might have a bit more money in time for xmas :)

Hi everyone we have had a busy day today as LO turned 1. She has had a lovely day wth people visiting and bringing her pressies - also had a lot more that forgot it was actually today but i figure she doesnt realise at the moment. Finally also managed to get Avon books round to the road i had not visited for a few weeks - been quite slack really and sales are still down. Need to up my game a bit here if i want to make some money.

OH had his first night in the lorry last night - he overslept a litte so must be quite comfy. He made it home this evening though so get to see DD for her birthday. I think he would really have been upset.

Quite happy as mother in law and her OH dont want anything for xmas and will be very angry if we do get them anything - in her words. They know that we have been struggling for the past few months so said not to worry and only to buy for the kids. I am hoping this is an ongoing thing would save us all money and time wondering what to get. Also spoke to my side and they only want a £5 phone card so they can call my mum in usa. Still not sure about my gran but she always asks the grandchildren for coffee for some reason so may get her some plus a photo.

Feeling a little better about it now. Just need something for my mum - must find out last posting date for USA and think of something for her. Also need something for dad and step mum????

Need OH to get xmas gifts down from the loft and see what i have and havent got already

CCCS rang early asking for a few extra bits of information but said if i get it to them asap i could be all set up to go and 1st payment taken on 1st december. At least things are moving in the right direction and it would be sorted before xmas. Need to discuss loan again with OH as only a few days before DD will be put through (15th).

i have just had my crayon rolls put on my friends website to see if they will sell - should make some profit from them f they do. Also some reindeer dust in little xmas pouches - think they are priced too high but we will see how they go.

The bank have just called and cancelled appointment for setting up kids bank accounts. They said to do it online instead but i cant see where i can do this so will have to book yet another appointment (this will be the 3rd as they have already cancelled twice now).

OH has finally signed letter to cancel DD for loan - i am hoping if i take in it will cancel it today and we wont have to pay. Yesterday CCCS also contacted me saying that they hadnt received the information that they were waiting for. They only asked for it on Wed so not sure how fast they think i can get it to them. Going to see if i can scan it and email it to them so they have everything that they need.

Still trying as well to get hold of photographers for xmas photos - need them soon so really need them to answer phone!

Think i am going to be busy again!

Ok well i am half expecting bank to call this morning as i am due to have appointment with them this afternoon. I really need to bank the kids cheques that they had for their birthdays as swimming lesson fees are due and will need the money. Their grandparents pay for most of them for their birthday and xmas so i dont have to find too much to add to it.

Waiting on notification from cccs that things have been sorted. Will i get a letter / call saying so? Then what? Need to look on another thread and see what happens next. Got a lot of payments due at the begining of next month so need to make sure i have enough saved away as i have totally nothing left in my savings, or bank really. Nothing in todays post.

Hoping i will have 2 x tax credits, 2 x OH wages before 1st of month which should be ok as long as OH can give me his bits of the income - know his hourly rate and how many hours he has worked but still not sure of actual money he will get until monday - think he will be on emergency tax as not received tax bits from agency yet.

Must get into using cash again and leaving card at home - its getting too easy at the moment to spend on card and not keep propper track of pennies. Just keep seeing things that are at bargin prices and that we need. Still not managed to get in freezer and see what is there. Really need to so i can see what meat i have as most of cupboard stuff needs something from freezer adding to it.

Wrapped my first xmas pressies last night as brother is going to visit family and taking them with him. Need to write xmas cards today and put in the box ready. Also been watching the xmas films on the tv. I really do like this time of year. I asked my 6 year old daughter last night what she wanted for xmas and she replied 'a cuddle from mummy' ahh so sweet if only it were true and thats all she wanted.

Well need to get on. Hope everyone has a great day

Got a letter from CCCS today to say that everything is set up and payment will come out 1 dec so i guess thats that. Still waiting for OH to go to the bank to see how much he was paid. Its not very easy to stop at cash point in a large HGV! I guess at least if he is not checking he is not withdrawing money either.

Went to poundand yesterday while waiting to get kids photos taken (very hard work but thats another story!) and i spent far too much in there. Got lots for the money but really didnt need everything - i just had a little voice in my head saying ' but its a bargain'. Only a bargain if i need it. I am staying away from shops today and am going to make a loaf of bread as that is the only thing we have run out of. Hoping i will manage a NSD as falling behind with that.

My friend is very tidy and a little OCD about tidying. As i was at hers helping paint she jokingly said she should clean my house in exchange for painting. I wish i had the nerve to let her as she would throw away all the bits we dont need. The house is such a state that i always go to her. Only got my youngest here today so will get the downstairs sorted as much as i can plus the bathroom. It then just leaves the bedrooms to be done.

I have put a few xmas outfits that the kids have grown out of on FB for sale so hopefully i might make a few pennies without the pain of ebay.

Right off to do some work as i have a long list of things to do :)

  • Yey glad the dmp is set up in time for xmas, what a great start to the new year, knowing everything will finally be in place :j Mine go up in jan and i can't wait (sad isn't it lol)

I went to town the other day and spent £40 :o:o:o and i only needed about £15 of stuff :o was having a bad day though and i should make a mental note not to go to town on days where i am feeling sorrry for myself. It leads to empty bank accounts :rotfl:

Oh and as for the friend if she was a close friend i'd ask her to come round and help me de-clutter! I had a friend offer her help with me a few months back. She came round and made my room all minimilistic and as soon as she went i put most of it back :p i prefer the country farm house look to empty bare rooms :o haha! :rotfl:

Have you made any sales on the crayon wraps yet?
