I have now managed to uninstal the combofix mirror of my hardrive in my c drive, it made me nervous it being there. I got it off by using something called OTC.
I have used combofix once in the past without a problem but this time it was probably because it did not run properly that this happened.Thanx

You should have just pressed yes and let Combofix install the recovery console, which is ostensibly installed directly from microsoft.com and allows for fixing of problems should anything go wrong.0

I'm a bit concerned about this combofix, why is it in my c drive and has a whole section of its own?
it has
31/2 in floppy a
local disc c
dvd rw drive e
dvd drive f
control panel
shared documents
personal documents
Why does it have this sep section on its own including a control panel?
What size is the combofix folder?:idea:0 -
I don't know what size the folder was but it just mirriored my hardrive, I have removed it now though as it didnt feel right it being there and I know it hadnt run properly because I wasnt sure what to do so thought it best to get it off for nowThanx

I havent had access to the pc yesterday and until tomorrow due to the floor in the room being done but am now using the spare laptop but I have found that youtube is exactly the same on this xp laptop, it doesnt play at al. Its also xp, could it have something to do with my isp?Thanx
Lady_K0 -
Whos your isp?
I doubt its them. Id try resetting the router (If you do this, make sure you know what settings to input afterwards):idea:0 -
Its virgin media cable with a linksys routerThanx
Lady_K0 -
Well id recommend resetting the router (Thats a FULL reset, not just switch off and on again). I use virgin and have no issues like that
if restting doesnt work, then id try changing the DNS settings in the router to OPEN DNS or suchlike:idea:0
