OK so you don't want another phone from P4U so what is it you do want? The contract cancelled?
If you say exactly what you want we might be able to provide specific advice.

You may want it, but you have no grounds whatsoever for cancellation. Be more realistic.

So what is your ideal solution?

A different phone from Phones4U? If so what phone?

    or

A different phone from another retailer or the network direct?

Cross Posted ignore my question :)
Here to learn and pass on my experiences.
Had a total of £8200 of debt written off due to harassment during 2010 and 2012.

OK, if you have, then do it. rolleyes.gif

What's the question then? Why did you come here?

The faulty phone has to be replaced or repaired under Sales of the Goods Act.
Airtime contract is separate and can be used with any phone.

Unfortunately Kirsty that just is not going to happen. If you handset is faulty then P4U must repair/ replace the handset which they have done for you and by the sounds of it are going to do again?
A faulty handset is not grounds to have your contract cancelled because the contract is not with P4U it is with your airtime provider. Phones 4 U is responsible for the handset and it sounds like they are taking responsibility for the handset by exchanging it.
Sorry if this is not what you want to hear but you are not going to be able to get the contract cancelled.
You would be better accepting the new Bold and maybe asking for some compensation for your inconvenience.
  • probably another phone from a different shop
  • but would they give me compensation i dont think they would

They would if you have not been able to use your contract because the phone is faulty. So if you have not been able to use your free mins/texts/ data then they would reimburse your line rental for that period of time if you ask.
