So, they are giving you the same working phone, but you don't want the same? What do you want then?
They have to either replace or repair the phone. They don't have to give you a new phone, let alone a different one.
As a side note, can you afford a new keyboard with working 'Shift' and punctuation keys?0 -
the reason why i dont want the same blackberry bold 9780 cause they couldnt guarantee whether that phone would develop a fault and they couldnt repair the phone something to do with their IMEI system and if they cant repair the phone they should give me a new phone0

I'm sure you aren't the only one they sold this brand of phone to. Have you checked if they have complaints from other users as well? Or could it juts be the way you handled the phone that caused it to break down?0

i didnt ask for a different phone it was the manager from phones 4 u rang me up and said that he was going to send me out the blackberry bold 97800

Have you tried connecting it to your Blackberry Desktop Manager? It may be something as simple as a software update?0
-
already done that and still get the problem0

Have you looked in the connections settings menu and made sure the mobile network box is ticked?
Blackberry's don't automatically connect to the mobile network, they have to be told what to connect to, ie network, wifi, bluetooth etc etc.
When I first got mine it wouldn't connect to the car kit on remote sim, nothing in the instructions to help, after a lot of fiddling I found you had to have the wifi turned off for it to do this.
I had left the wifi on to use the UMA on Orange.0
