Well I wanted to book a week's holiday and there are no £10.00 days in any week - from July until September. So, what I was saying is if they cannot organise their web site better people will get frustrated and give up. Thank you for your criticism though. Kick me when I'm down. I have now given up, sadly0

Dear Mr Travelodge,
Next time you make a sale offer like this how about dividing up the country into areas and releasing the rooms over several days. Then if I'm looking at the midlands I can take my chance with all the others looking at the midlands instead of the whole country! Your website is a shambles and just can't cope with something as big as this. You know it doesn't work, you're not Amazon, so don't do it!
Think next time and get your webmaster and team to think of something to spread the load!

Stop moaning people, its not a scam, its no a con, its a sale, and you cant get on, because so many other people can and have....
Along with my 3 weeks off the last sale, I was trying to build up on(but failed), Ive managed to get 4 sets of 2 days in different parts of the country........keep trying if you really want them, or come back later, but dont expect any popular destinations/fridays/saturdays to be avaiable, although they have been known to release more rooms later in the day...Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Thats no good, that means an early morning for each sale.....nothing the matter with it, the way it is...and.......it does work....I usually manage upto 8 full weeks a year, and countless 2 day stays.........Couponing....."every little hurts"

tattybonce.....If it seemed like i was criticising them i'm sorry - i wasn't really thinking about you as a frustrated person when i typed that i was just responding to the words. Thing is i can relate, a lot of things are very frustrating at the moment, it's the economic climate we are in. Wasn't mean't as a personal criticism, more just debate.0 -
I got on the site first time and booked exactly what I wanted at £10 .... a room at Gatwick for the start and end of my visit to Morocco ..... and that was from Cyprus! I just must have been very lucky!sloan SKI-ers Club #10 :j0

princesswoo we went to the one in blackpool central and payed only £9 she stuck us in a room on the same floor as the desk. as it was a two person room and thr wer 3 of us me and my mum and dad i am 18 my dad tried to sneak past her but got caught and she said 3 people cnt stay here and you wil hav to pay £40 extra for another room. she shaid it is health and safty and if anythig hapened then it woould be on her conscience. she was well snotty and up herself. i wish i had a nice person at the desk like you do. do you have any tips for next time.
The people at the South Prom Travelodge are fab, especially the night staff. If you can book there in future. The bar closes when you go to bed as well;)Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Have you EVER come accross a single room in a Travelodge..I remember once, years ago, being stuck in a very small room, with only a shower(no bath), but it did have a double bed...I wonder if some of these "new acquisition" hotels have hsingle rooms.....
Anyone???
i know the shandwick place travelodge in edinburgh has singles as i accidentally booked one in the last sale, no worries though i called them immediately after and they've changed it to a double for me since it's for me and my daughter though they still had doubles available when i called, if you booked a single and they didn't have any doubles left i'm afraid you'd be stuck with the single0 -
my sister stayed there under differant bookings in march/april and they didnt make her change rooms. hers wernt in the sale though just cheap. so i dont know if this makes a differance.
last year i got 9 quid rooms and they let us stay in the same room, it makes it easier for them as they don't have to clean your room the next morning if you're staying again
i just called beforehand and asked to keep the same room then reminded them when i checked in, i've done it twice at two different edinburgh travelodges with no bother0 -
You can often do the same with 2, 3 or 4 nights, and often more..
I agree with the rest of your post, imho, Travelodge staff are very obliging, and also imho, dont have the time or inclination to question bookings...Ive not had a problem at all........except from inconsiderate guests....
you're not kidding there, the staff i've seen are always run off their feet poor souls! unless you get a rare overstaffed hotel you're probably ok... you could always ask for an upper floor for 'the view'much easier to sneak people in when you're that far from reception
