If we are staying for a few nights, I usually ring up(number from saynoto0870) and ask if i can have a certain room/floor....Maybe you should give them a ring a few days before to enquire if you can have rooms next to each other(if thats beneficial), although depending on the age of the kids, they may insist theres an adult stays in each room(although I doubt they would physically check this)...

Dont forget to use "Saynoto0870" if phoning them..

Thankyou, we have booked a night in Chelmsford (where we lived when we first met.,..the town, not the travel lodge!) and a night in Lowestoft to take a trip to Pleasurewood Hills! All for £25, awesome

princesswoo we went to the one in blackpool central and payed only £9 she stuck us in a room on the same floor as the desk. as it was a two person room and thr wer 3 of us me and my mum and dad i am 18 my dad tried to sneak past her but got caught and she said 3 people cnt stay here and you wil hav to pay £40 extra for another room. she shaid it is health and safty and if anythig hapened then it woould be on her conscience. she was well snotty and up herself. i wish i had a nice person at the desk like you do. do you have any tips for next time.

We only ever get confirmations for ''1 person'' however we are a family of 2 adults and 3 kids and check in that way ask, for extra bedding and never have a problem (as we normally book family rooms), if we have 2 separate nights in the same hotel we just mention it on check in and they already know and we stay in the same room.

In fact i like loads of pillows so I always ask for extras anyway.

You can often do the same with 2, 3 or 4 nights, and often more..

I agree with the rest of your post, imho, Travelodge staff are very obliging, and also imho, dont have the time or inclination to question bookings...Ive not had a problem at all........except from inconsiderate guests....

Book a family room, not a double!!

or don't all go in together, they never ask for identity or anything like that...

I've been trying on and off since 6.45am this morning and still cannot get on the site properly. I think I will give up - it is just not worth the time I am wasting!! They either want my money or they don't! :mad:

it's now saying it's doing site maintenance and please try later - is that a way of getting people to just try later, or do they only post stuff up like that if there is genuine need for site maintenance due to it being so busy?

LOL - i don't suppose anyone knows - just wondering whether to sit here hitting refresh or not....was working a little while ago.

I don't think i'm going to get what i'm looking for though, there are no sale prices on the days and place i want or anywhere nearby.

Anyone know if they add further sales later in the day or next few days?

Any other sales coming up? Premier Inn? LOL!

It's a business. Its a sad state of affairs nowadays but most of them want money yes but not necessarily yours....just whoever they can get and the most they can get - and they can get a lot more from those willing to pay full price on a flexible room and they have even provided a telephone service for those people!

No offence to Travelodge, they are only operating like most businesses....there is the argument that the sale prices are them giving you something back....£10 a room is a giveaway afterall...and i've always had good treatment when i've been there.
