I have never made this personally, but its on my list to do at sometime. My friend makes it and they call it a tuna melt. Its basically bread, homemade or ys (of course), cut into a doorstep, and toasted on one side, turn over and put some chopped, tinned tomatoes on it, with tuna on top of that and cheese to top it off, then put under the grill. Its a bit like a tuna pizza, and i suppose you could add what you like, using the same principle.0

Blitz a slice of stale bread/toast in a blender or use a stick one. If you don't have a blender grate the bread. It doesn't matter if the crumbs are lumpy
Fry off quickly in some olive oil and finely chopped garlic, sprinkle that on top.I'm not that way reclined

Ok, not sure how much this prices up as but it's what we always have when neither one of us can be bothered to cook, it's so easy.
SPICY BEANS
tin of baked beans
Chopped onion or leek
Chopped pepper if you've got one
Frozen veg to bulk it out ( spinach/sweetcorn/peas/whatever's in there!)
Spices, I like cumin, coriander and paprika with perhaps a bit of chilli powder. Or you could just use a bit of curry powder instead of these.
Fry the onion/leek/pepper. Add the spices and fry for a minute or two. Add the baked beans and frozen veg. If you're feeling rich you could add a tin of tuna (sorry if that sounds weird, I think it's yum!:p).

Some breadcrumbs would add a bit of crunch; if you had a little bit of bacon, that fried till crisp, chopped and mixed with breadcrumbs is a nice topping too.
edited to add - sorry I somehow missed the reply about the breadcrumbs.0 -
I made this the other day for the first time and its dirt cheap - its toad in the hole - serves 2
1 pack value batter = 7p
4 x value sausages = 20p
1 x value egg = 8p
TOTAL 35p (for 2 people)
Works out 18p per person. You could serve with a bit of salad or beans, etc. VERY VERY CHEAP.0
