I make Elderberry wine. It's one of the best reds. I made 2 gallons last year and it is much better than the supermarket wines and literally pennies per bottle :money:

Could the fruits be sloes or blackthorn (Prunus spinosa)? or Cherry plum (Prunus cerasifera?) Neither ought to be ripe yet but - this year - who knows!

Glad your adventures were good, Pippi.

Thanks for this, Tricia, both counts - I don't think I'm up to winemaking this year (tho I do have 3 demijohns!!) but a syrupy thingy is definitely on the cards. I'll take some photos/a leaf from the tree and bring it back here (when it stops raining :o)

Hope your DS gets the grades that he wants/needs and that you find out soon enough. Did Peedie wake up enough to make it to work?

    I've had a clear out :)

:jAnd, yup we got the grades, he did quite well, not quite what he was hoping for but he's got another year and he's passed the majority of them.

poor chap is a bit upset - but I told him, we've another year at school, he's already got grades that will get him into uni's he just wants more/better grades.

Chin up and best foot forward, wish I could give him a hug.

Cheri peedie did indeed make it into work!

Brilliant news about the grades and as you say if he has the grades he needs then he can relax a bit and try and up them without the pressure (yay to Peedie doing a working day :rotfl:)
