Definitely another cup of tea. Ooh! I'm on the first floor, and I just looked out the window - the buddleia nearest the house survived, and is very tall now - there was a sparrow about six feet away from me :) well, eight feet, anyway. Lovely.

    Hi Pippi

Just subscribed to your blog. Wow! What an amazing place you live in, I was just imagining I was there through your lovely photos. Congratulations on submitting the thesis x

    Have a lovely weekend. :)

Thank you very much you're very kind - welcome to the potting shed - um I mean diary! It is beautiful here - we're so very lucky - and the wind keeps insurance costs, petrol prices up, food amazing and the robbers away :rotfl:its a good balance - hello and thank you for posting!

How lovely KC - I've been attacked by chickens :rotfl:

I'd let them out when bleary eyed earlier and it wouild seem now they all want to come in for brekkie!

Glad the budleia is OK - I'll have to check my two - one I think has died in that evil winds we've just had. No birds here - well only chickens - No WILD birds here - um, well maybe the chickens come into that category

The cellist and I have just hatched a plan to go into the local little town in a mo and have a pickle about charity shop - diy shop and then the recycling place - only be about an hour and wont spend much, but not done that in a crazy while. How lovely to have such a patient and understanding family.

hope the charity thingmy went well.
Sounds like you did really well in the Charity shop.
I got nothing done as it turns out, had to race off to my parents as my dad fell and hit his head and had a little fit. My mum thought he was a gonner to be honest, but thankfully he's ok. We're all in shock but are just glad he's ok.

Hugs lt hope he's ok now what a fright xx

I'm a bit at sixes and sevens. Down in dumps? Not sure. Went to walk at ring of brogar. Very surreal as I stood taking pics of flowers in the quiet a coach turned up, pipers in full gear got out, turned out someone was getting married there!

Scarpered quick, having been hacking salmonberry down, I was hardly in my finest clobber. Lol

you know where i am if you want to talk anything through. It's not surprising you're in that state, your studies have been in your life for so long and have been dictating it that by posting off your report you've kind of lost a friend/enemy.
Dad was sleeping when i left this afternoon, it's taken everything out of him. it was a combination of heat, medication, illness & not sitting down and resting when he should have been. At least it wasn't what we'd thought it was on the drive there.

Blimey, LT, that sounds a real jolt .... hope your dad is okay after his sleep. Are you going to check with the doc anyway?

Pippi, I agree with what LT is saying about not knowing if you're down in the dumps or not - you raced about immediatelyyou'd handed the thesis in, but you *are* a human being you know! Of course you have a reaction. And now you're having to pay full attention to your financial situation, which is doable, but needs continual effort. You just need more time, thats all, and some rest.

I just *love* the sound of a walk at the Ring of Brodgar tho, I didn't realise you were *that* close ... sigh ...
