Pippi how do you 'accidentally' take up a carpet :rotfl:

By the way I meant to ask for some botanical advice - have you ever successfully propagated a bay tree from a cutting? I've tried a few times but never managed it.

It just accientally came away in my hand, with the screwdriver and the hammer :o all 8 bits of it :o

Brilliant recipe thanks. Bay from cuttings, I've done it I think but think they are boogers and callous rather than root quickly - will look in secret plant recipe book, which might be at work but I will look cos need double check rosemary.

Speaking of which LT that sounded yummy! Hope tests today ok xx

Pippi do you ever stop and just breathe???? carpet lifting, racing around here there and everywhere. I feel tired just reading it let alone pegging out my washing and watering a few plantlets.

    Morning KC

Tea in hand - sun out - couldn't sleep very well - did a blog at a silly o clock time - too long and wordy but maybe thats where I am right now.

    Thinking about the day ahead

I've gamerboy to pick at at 12.30 (we've swapped for hoovering - I drive if he hoovers)
A bit of conservation work to do at 2pm at a local garden (happy valley) aptly the afternoon is named salmonberry slaughter - its a plant which is invasive and can out compete most things - a bit of a brute - even here.
Need find varnish for the stairs#
Dr who tonight - and inbetween that lot - not sure - potting shed is unbeleiveable - imagine that wardrobe in the house anyones got full to bursting - I opened the door of the potting shed and couldn't get in there and thought 'oh' - walked away thinking 'oh dear'!
Think about the now naked upstairs floor - half are floor boards - a bit uneven and a bit manky - the other bit is chip board - maybe we need a carpet on there rather than painted? I'm contemplating this before I take up the jaggy edgy floor things from the upstairs hall. I can't bear the navy blue axminster carpet - maybe we'll replace it with something light and airy and plain. I realise I'm typing this with almost no money in the bank - hmm - the local carpet place does do off cuts. Until money arrives we can live with the hall the way it is with a few cotton rugs.

    Tea tea tea

    What you upto today chaps?

Well in my defecne about the stair and hall carpet - they needed either cleaning or taking up.

I opted for taking up - but a hoover I fear might have been an easier option!

Have fun - plants go to you on Monday if that suits - this time of year didn't want to chance them going in post on fri and possibly getting stuck somewhere over weekend.

    :)
