Morning NL - go you and the basil! Windowsill gardening rocks!

KC - a lot of those things are small - I'm just long winded

Dishwasher done, washing on - will get stuff hung out before I go into town.
    Half dressed :)

7 eggs today - boiling half of them for lunches.
Might do a bit in town and then escape later - gorgeous here - If I can do what I need in the am - I can perhaps come home in afternoon and be in the garden

What a treat that would be - gardening in NO wind - delightful and it doesn't happen much!

Hello everyone, I'm back after having to be away from home several days. Thank you so much to everyone who left hugs and sympathy on the last thread; we are all still upset and have loads to deal with but following all your advice and examples I'm trying to take things one mouse bite at a time!

Anyway glad I have found you all again and managed to catch up! First of all of course a massive CONGRATULATIONS!! to Pippi, so glad you managed to stick with it and get it all done and sent off while still staying sane!! You are an inspiration.

Hello to everyone else, sorry to hear about illnesses, problems at work etc, I am sending positive thoughts your way and hope everything works out for the best.

Following your example I am off out into the garden now for a bit. While I've been away OH has done a sterling job keeping things going but has forgotten to pick any radishes - which are practically the size of turnips!! Japanese style radish pickles coming up ASAP!

oh forgot to say i gave my basil it's first hair cut last night and it's now all frozen and lovely.
Just been for a freezer dive, and beside frost bite on my extremities i've got out to defrost:
turkey meatballs which experimentally i will use with a curry sauce to make a curry, i've got no chicken so it will have to do.
garlic bread - just because it looks yummy and we have no nan bread.
lamb shanks which i'll put in the slow cooker for tomorrow with some mint and rosemary. I've never cooked them from scratch but i have high hopes.
Any one coming for dinner then? either today or tomorrow lol

me please. it'll save me cooking too. I have a massive rosemary bush out the garden which is completely in the way of our new veg plot so if anyone wants cuttings you are quite welcome

Hya everyone, on this glorious (hopefully for everyone :D) day.

Sorry, been a it busy recently...then was a bit cross last night after work (enough to say, found out my line manager is still leaving me out of the loop of important communications re redundancy ). Even unpacking my brand new laptop (first one ever ) when I got home didn't jolt me out of my grump completely. At least one good thing about this reundancy..I won't have to work with or see her again. Only 7 weeks to go!!
    :j

The laptop is really lovely, all black with a purple (aubergine & grape!) neoprene protective sleeve...:) Having a bit fun with it today though, after getting back from invigilating. DH had planned on getting one for my 50th last year, but I kept saying...they're too expensive..so he eventually found a good one which wasn't! :A I hummed and hawed for ages over getting it...but really pleased I have. It will be good to have it to hand when I am out and about. Atm I have the Murray - Nadal match on while I visit MSE on the laptop....will need to transfer my bookmarks...should probably tidy them up a bit...far too many!! :rotfl:

Also have a possible buyer for the pc...so all is good....hopefully! :o

Pippi - glad to see you are getting back to all-out gardening again! If you need anything bringing up from down here (or on our way north), we're happy to help. Coming up in the estate, with only DS2 in the back, and no dog, so plenty of room!!! If you want some bulky stuff, we can always have the roof-box for all our things! :D
