Oh, my bestestest news today is that my lovely pal (radley addict) gave me one of her purses with flowers and a stripey peedie in it (she's got 4(!)!) I nearly burst into tears!!!!! So kind, I think she liked the bag and is confused (thinks I'm turning into a girl).

It's so cute :) and stripey and flowery :)

Oooh, how lovely Pippi! :T :T Was thinking of you today, wondering where you were on your journey...

I tried to buy a new purse today - old one is kept shut with a bulldog clip and yesterday a sticker saying 'reduced to 7p' from my kiwi got stuck to it and all the facing has come off :rotfl: Oh dear! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yay cheery off to take dog to beach in a mo :) some things don't change!

Laughing at your purse my 'purse' was a moleskin notepad with packing tape holding it together!!!

:) lovely that she used the purse for a year so now when I see it and use it I'll think of aunty s :)

We are bumming about in central Scotland for a couple days then heading to Englandshire early next week :) tree climbing, laser shooting (kids not me), forest walks, cinema, beaches, friends and maybe indoor skiing too not sure yet :) busy busy - we get into it all when away, rather than away from it all. Cos we do all that away from it all stuff at home!

    Petrol 20p cheaper here, unbelievable!

Hey Pippi, glad you arrived safely. I am the same as you getting into it all when away!. Lovely that you have the purse from your friend. I have always found that any purses given to me as gifts are never empty (even if only a few pennies). Therefore I never buy my own purse and regularly have them falling to pieces ! Enjoy the trip.

Like everyone else - glad to hear that the journey went off OK - and hurrah to fab purses! What a lovely gift (much needed by the sound of it!) My current one was a birthday present from a lovely friend some years back - it's a Tula one and the quality makes really *do* last so well, it still looks good as new!
