Well done! We were out all day yesterday but I did wear stripy socks and, as we were up in the wilds of the dales, thought of you as there were sheep everywhere!

That's a great achievement and you must be so glad to be finished. Is it worth keeping in touch with yesterday's guy? Perhaps just a 'thank you' email. I know you just want it to be over but contacts can be useful in the future.

    Have a great holiday.

PS We met a chicken named Charlotte who has a penchant for hiding in people's cars and travelling. She has been returned from 30 miles away twice this year already. She lives here. Excellent gardens.

Thank you triciax! Charlotte sounds adorable - I've already emailed the man (well both men) and I've been communicating with guru NI guy for 4 years and we had a trip there last year - he's a lovely man and did say before he left if anything came up he'd think of me and was sure we'd bump into each other soon :)

    Thank you for wearing stripes:j

Wow, Pippi, you managed it! Patchwork indeed, a beautiful piece with many patches, and beautiful strands of embroidery in there too (thats the eggs from the girls :) ). Considering this is all done while you were, you know, becoming a Mistress of Flowers :) you'll do even better now ....

    Hope the cleaning flies by!

Yay to patchwork - this month is unusual due to invigilating and lecturing landing in the same month - but who knows what other months will bring - :A

The best bit is that I'm still technically a student until the corrections are done - so I may have 3 months more no council tax!:rotfl:

Mistress of Flowers gives me all sorts of images of embroidered boddices etc!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:and wellies!
    Well done Pippi! :T :T :T Am well impressed at that patchwork income! :T :T :T :T :T Go you! :T :T :T

Thursday is only tomorrow - only one more day to wait :j :j :j

Hope you have another peaceful guilt free day today! :j :j :j :j :j

Now that is a very good point - today we have no money - literally NO money - but tomorrow more should arrive :A guilt free day - OMG how will I cope?

Ah the ying and yang of money :) how I love it.

Not even had my cuppa yet

Raided penny jar £3.75 in one
Raided hen jar - £4.20 in there

Not checked bags or coat pockets!
And, have remembered OH owes me £50 for a meal out we put on my cc - although I think we bartered a bit of it for the hoy trip. oh well!

:) tea now, dressed, survey the day ahead - I've watered the livng room (well the window boxes in the living room) - now need to water the sunny room, well the window boxes in the sunny room!

KETTLE!!!! What you all upto today?

Oooh - pippi - that reminds me - while you're still a full time student, go and get yourself an ISIC card if you don't already have one (International Student Identity Card). From memory I think it's about £9, should be able to get from union or travel agents maybe (or off website). Counts as student identity abroad - but also discounts here :D Usually lasts til the end of the calendar year I think - so even if you only get it til the end of this year it's still a few more months! :j :j :j Might be worth getting at the *end* of your 3 months so it lasts longer - may well go til end of 2012 if you get it in September ;) (but check that one).

Suspect you will be able to use it as ID on the ferry :D and you can certainly use it as ID to buy a new student railcard (not that that'll be much use to you! :rotfl: but it was very useful to me :D)

Also discounts in shops etc - again not useful - but maybe flights too or something? Can't remember - worth checking out though! :T

I'm making scary phone calls <wibble>

Good tip there cheery and we do have a family railcard which I'll dig out for the trip down incase we go on the train anywhere :)

OK busy, productive (a bit expensive - but funded day) and lots to do now

DD and I had our annual hair cut (both shorter than expected) both £8 each which wasn't too bad considering its an annual bill :)
Worked 2 hours on flower project (unpaid but did see the HOD for getting this new training at work to become an sqa assessor and she's going to find funding for me for that)
Worked paid 1 hour in garden which will pay for the haircuts lol

My major news is I bought a little hand bag (post phd/mres treat from OH) my only hand bag - oh go me

Now I need to get hair dye off head and get a wriggle on what I've to do today to pack

    OMG alot to do!!!

    :)

How cute little owl bag are you! - I keep looking at it - owl very fitting due to all the willow work and book reading and my nickname at home Prof. Yaffle :)

heaven't Pippi, with a list like that you you must be spinning in circles. Hopefully you'll have a restful break once you've calmed down and set off.
Glad the patchwork income has come through for you this month, that's great news, hope it all pops nicely in your account as soon as possible.
    Have a great holibob!
