Starnac!!!! Hello!!!! News please! How are you, how's little one?

We are okay atm. Had a wobble over the weekend which left me drained all week. Had a good cry yesterday though and have decided I will not listen to other people's "advice". I have managed to raise a polite, well mannered (mostly) and healthy 4 year old so I can't be *too* bad a mum. I will now trust my instincts and do what's right for me and Dylan.

Feel pretty silly about the whole thing now but on the upside he is starting to sleep a bit longer at night and feeding really well now. He's a bit sicky but doesn't seem bothered by it. DD mothers him all the time. We can't keep her away from him :rotfl: Was really pleased when I saw her teacher last week she said that there has been no change in DD's behaviour since Dylan was born. Apparently that can be an issue in schools when a younger sibling is born so I thought that was pretty good.

Oh dear look how long this post is. Sorry if i've bored you all but don't get much adult conversation recently. :o

Hope everyone is well. Congratulations on the move LT and KK. It's all happening here isn't it??

You must be a great mum! As for wobbles, well ... hormones and all that, yours have got to be all over the place just after giving birth, after all. Be kind to yourself - it sounds like its going really well, for little DD too.

Starnac - of course you are a good Mum! Wobbles are natural I believe (I dont have any so cant comment from experience). I am sure you are doing the right thing and people often want to put their tuppence in but you are allowed to ignore them.

  • Hey up you lot

apology for not being around - starnac if you're not a good mum - neither am I. You're ace - and don't take other folk to heart = often they mean well but have it utterly wrong or have their own agenda. Which you can't know.

    Now I'm reading back properly

Hugs and dear lord I hope you feel great but never 'normal' eugh.

We are all spectacular angels of joy and fabulousness who embrace love - never forget that - are we normal - NO!

hope you are okay with the weather Pippi. Raining quite bad here and windy but no snow :(

Am catching up here as not been on for a while. Really miss the forums when I don't come on.

Ooooooh secret snowy getaway. you lucky thing. can't wait to hear more xx

OK I'm so delighted to see you. Thats the first bit.

The second bit is I miss it here horribly when I can't get on either and am busy - I've no balance at the moment - but that will settle - my new job will begin to calm down.

The wind was horrific early and is due to be average 55/ gusting at 95 mph by 9pm - but I think the mainland today has it far worse than us - our council have issued all sorts of weather warnings - which is a bit frightening as when its normal windy - its just accepted - so I'm a tad worried - but being an island at the top - it might pass us by.

    :o maybe

Off to catch up with the rest of you. Lucielle - I hope you're OK - and any peeps in the thick of iti - keep warm and inside if you can.

After our bad gales last week or so ago - I've moved most things indoors and the cars are now by the house tucked in hard to the wall. Can't do much different

With limited trees etc - the damage here probably won't be as bad as the mainland - but we'll see - there buildings damaged, trees down, were wind turbines on fire in Ardrossan and others flat to the ground.

Glad to know you are safe Pippi :D

It is mighty windy here and Rodders seems to love it! He was laying outside earlier, head in to the wind, with his ears flapping barking at it :rotfl: But he didn't want to come in so I left him out there and watched from the conservatory!

Starnac - Sounds like you are doing brilliantly, ignore the advice you don't need and keep looking at your daughter while telling yourself "I have done a great job with her". You and the baby are just settling in to a routine and you are all learning how to go from a family of three to four.
