  • Hey up all a quickie

MrsM you're really welcome, I spent a whole 25p on that peedie book - battered but loved I hope you enjoy it! Hello chapsies - And, Keiss - parcel - thank you!!!!! You didn't need to but thank you all the same - Mr F and I are going on holiday - major family debates and conclusion is that no ones coming here (probably best due to the weather) so we're going away to a secret snowy location - more on that later!

    VL that sounds like fun!

Hmm yesterday - snow -delays -landed in inverness which looked like xmas! Thankfuly only a short delay when got back to airport straight into a LONG meeting then picked up dd and dropped of two chairs and THEN drove very slowly through the snow. Eek

    TOday one child bus cancelled
Im invigilating - I'll follow the other childs bus in I think.
    I've 4 parcels for amazon to post - 2 dvds 2 books
    Print labels
Drive safely and put warm clothes in the car - blizzard out there
Hope all get to their places OK.
Banking to do later (finish work at 1.30)
    And all that jazz
HC on and will be hung up indoors
    HM meals later.

Thank you all for the cabbage recipes on blog - never had so many comments (And my MOTHER commented - OMG - guess thats this years annual interaction)
Funnily enough -they are now (*the cabbages not the recipes) nestled under snow - typical!

Have a great one and keep warm - onwards to printing labels for amazon and togging up for siberia (oh I mean the isle of snowy stripes)

Snowy stripes indeed - following the bus in sounds like a really good idea. You suddenly sound tres posh - flying to Inverness for a meeting! Just don't do too many unpaid hours, okay :)

Glad the parcel arrived OK Pippi, hope Lucifer manages to grow after his chilly trip!! I'd have wrapped him better if I'd known it was to be so cold!

Ooh, a secret Christmas trip, exciting!!!

Sounds like quite a trip you had yesterday...quite the globe trotter!! No fun driving in a white-out. We followed an oil tanker from Inverness all the way to Helmdsale, where it turned off. Got to the top of the VERY slippy icy steep road out of Helmsdale only to discover that the police had closed the road  So we had to turn round and slip/slide down the hill and stay at the Bridge Hotel for the night...no central heating, only bar-heaters and electric blankets! It was quite an experience, and one I'd rather not have again. :o

Been out Xmas shopping with a friend today, it was fun, but exhausting! I managed to get some lovely tops (all reduced) from Cotton Traders, most I will pay for with the Xmas money I got from my MIL. I will wrap them up and open them on the 25th, so she can see what I bought with my money. I may leave one unwrapped, so I can wear it now to keep me warm!! Starting to see an end to the Christmas presents to get list at long last! :D

Invigilating tomorrow and Thursday, may be the only one leaving the house at this rate. DH has a bruised rib and in a lot of pain atm. He even went to the docs, his first time for 10 years!!! DS2 has quite a bad case of Acid Reflux, which is really bringing him down, as well as his sprained ankle..it never rains!!! I think I was the only one who had a good sleep last night!

Need to get back to the sewing, but a bit wiped out, so might just fill some lavender hearts tonight.

Have a lovely evening, and hopefully the snow will have gone tomorrow.
